"What do you mean you have class today?," I screamed into my phone. I felt bad for Angel but, hey, she set herself up for it.

"I mean, that our school flooded for a week so now I have an extra week of classes," She replied delicatly. I was very mad at Angel now. You see, we had both applied for colleges up north, near NYC. We both got accepted! But Angel, being the over achiever that she is, decided to take a summer school course to get a head start on her degree. Myself, on the other hand, wanted to enjoy summer. In early August she invited me to come up to her apartment in New York so we could hang out over the weekend before we both got stressed about homework and tests. It had taken me forever to convince my parents I, and Angel, would be responsible for the whole trip. And now we can't even do anything because Angel has school. This is exactly why I denied my summer school course option. School and summer just don't mix.

"Really, your kidding right! What am I supposed to do while your at school?," I whined. This was not how I planned the begining of my vacation. I was expecting us lounging by some pool, looking at cute guys. But no! And to think, all I had to blame was pipes.

"I am realy sorry Kathleen, but there is nothing I can do," She paused, thinking for a moment. "I got it, Ok I gave you keys to my apartment right?," She added, as I sheilded my eyes from the noonday sun."Go into my apartment and grab my gym card. You can work out for the day!," a confused look crossed my face.

"Are you calling me fat?," I asked, hoping it wasn't true. I looked down at myself. I didn't look to bad. At least thats what I thought,

"No, no. I was just naming an idea, nothing personal,"She replied quickly. Ah, Angel, So quick with words. I replied saying that I would go grab the card and go work out my fantastical abs. I looked up at the apartment building, checking for the right name. The name 'Metropoliton apartments' glinted in the sunlight. I let myself into the bullding just as a light wind brushed across my ankles. I walked up, around ten million stairs, by this time I was starting to think a gym pass might be a good idea. I found Angels door, finally. The oak wook was glintly varnished, and the metalic numers shone against the light wood. I then searched my pockets for the key Angel had mailed me. I looked at the key, she had had a picture of Harry and Louis from One Direction on it. The two boys' faces smiled at each other as if they were old friends. I myself , was not a huge One Direction, but I did know a few details about them. I smiled to myself as I remembered why Angel had had that spacific picture printed on the key. She thought they were dating. I kept on telling her there was no way, but she is persistant. Even if things aren't true. I slid the key into the lock and turned it until I heard a click. I then turned the bronzed know into her apartment. The wall were a pale grey, dotted with a few posters here and there. She had  two beds. One was neatly made, while the other had clothes strewn across the top. I looked to see that they had a label on the top.'Kathleen's', I had sent up clothes because I thought it would be easier than carrying them. I traveled over to her bulleton board to see a card pinned on one of the corners. 'Larry's gym' it said, clearly depicting a weight and a built up arm to carry it. I grabbed the card and went to close the door behind me.

I had found a taxi after ten minutes to take me to that gym. I sat in the back seat and watched the scenes of New York City pass before my eyes. The lights were dimmed at the moment, I couldn't wait to see them at night. Finally we had stopped in front of the gym. I had thanked the driver and gave him a tip before entering the workout place. As I walked in I flashed Angels card to the receptionist as I made my way into the gym. There was so much stuff to use. I had decided to go easy on myself and chose a treadmill. The silver metal was cold under my hands as I pressed the settings. I then hopped onto the machine and began running.

"I can do this," I whispered to myself as I elevated the difficulty. Soon enough, I was sprining. I couldn't keep up with it anymore, I had tried to reach the controls but couldn't reach. I consintrated hard and reached one more time, but lost focus on my foot work and rolled of the back of the treadmill. I fell to the floor with a thud, knocking over a boy behind me, causing him to spill his energy drink all over.

"Oh my gosh, I am so sorry!," I said looking up into his warm cocoa eyes. A small smile brushed across his face.

"It's no problem, really," He said, looking down at his shirt. It had streaks of orange juice on it. I gave a faint smile as he helped me up.

"I feel so bad," I said to him as he walked over to the treadmill to turn it off."I'll buy you a new drink, please! Or I'll feel awful," I looked up at his face again, A smile was still crossed over his perfect complection.

"Don't feel bad, its OK. Stuff like this happens," He examined the treadmill until his face lit up as he picked up a clip. "This is your problem, here," He said as he clipped it onto my shirt. He was really cute. "This is so that if you fall the treadmill doesn't keep going," I blushed, how could I have possibly  been so stupid!

"I still have to buy you a drink, you know," I said as I stood on the machine once more, knowing my limits.

"Well, lets work out for an hour, and if you still feel inclined, Lets go to a starbucks or something. Alright?," He smiled. I nodded as we began to run.
