Friendship
They said that blood is thicker than the water but what David and Jonathan have is more than that because God is in their midst as they swore their friendship before the Lord.They encourage and build one another in times of trouble they have each other backs as 1 Thessalonians 5:11 says: Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.
They are one of the best example of a friend to have which the center is God not just a friend that swore empty promises and leave you when the time you needed them the most as Ecclesiastes 4:10 says: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up..
Prayer
LORD GOD may we have a frienship like David and Jonathan that the foundation is Lord Christ Jesus.Like your Word says in Colossians 3:12-13, may I clothe myself in compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. May I be patient with my friends, and may I forgive freely like you have forgiven me. May I shine your light in my friendships, giving glory to you through all that I do, say, and think. Thank you for my friends, Jesus. Thank you for you have give them to me to build me up and remind me of your goodness and faithfulness. In your name I pray, Amen.
