Aftermath of Mckays Party

After Mckays party, Emma and Fezco exchanged phone numbers. She wasn't sure when she will pick up the courage to call him, but she was sure that she didn't want this to be the last time to see him.

Not many people her age found interest in her, she was always stuck into her books, letting her mind escape from the real world. She enjoyed his company, and the fact that he cared what she had to say made her feel like their were butterflies in her stomach.

Emma was unsure where this will lead to, she never imagined someone like him, a drug dealer, to be so kind. Hearing Fez speak and what he had to say, she loved every minute of it.

"So you talking to my drug dealer now?" Rue asked curiously, they were currently at school in their free period pretending to study, well Rue was, Emma was actually doing her work.

"We only talked once at Mckays party, we haven't talked since." Emma said while trying to figure out answers for her Biology questions.

"You sure, because thanks to you, my drug dealer has gone soft on me. I catch him always slipping out of his mind." Rue said resting her head on her hands while looking at Emma.

Emma sighs and looks back at Rue. "We had a good talk, but I'm not sure when I'm going to talk to him again."

"We'll actually gotta see him after school, I'm out of oxys so yeah." Rue shrugged. Emma realised something.

"Hang on, who was that girl that you left the party with?" Emma asked curiously, giving her the look.
She knew she hit something, observing Rue that was quiet, but with a smile on her face.

"Her name was Jules. Look I don't know, Nate Jacobs was all up in her face, trying to intimidate her, but the way she carried herself that in situation. She was a badass." Rue kept rambling on, making a Emma smile.

"Sounds like someone has a little crush. Am I ever going to meet her?" Emma asked curiously.

"Uh she is starting school here so yeah, you'll see her around." "I want you to introduce me to her."

"Okay I will. But on a side note, did you want to come with me to Fez, so you guys can have a 'talk' again?" Rue asked.

"I can't, I got to help my mother at work." With an apologetic face. She wanted to see Fez again, but she wasn't sure whether seeing him at his house would be an appropriate time, even though they talked so much at Mckays, she still doesn't know him well yet.

"Alright then." Rue said. The final bell went and it was almost end of school. They exchanged good byes and went their seperate ways. Emma went straight to her mothers workplace, a nice little diner cafe.

"Hey mum." She said hugging her mother and kissing her on the cheek.

"Hey baby, you ready to start?" Cheri asked while helping her with her apron.

"Yeah, let's do this." High fiving each other then looking to go serve the customers.

Five hours later and Emma had just finished her shift. The mother and daughter went home, getting ready to go to bed. Emma quickly took a shower, brushing her hair as she prepared her covers and pillow for bed. She sighs and lays down, finally at peace. Turning the light off, getting ready to go to sleep.

Emma phone starts ringing on the desk beside her, she groans and turns the light on checking to see who's calling her at this ungodly hour, however her stomach drops when she sees who's calling her.

Answering the phone, "Hello?" Emma greets.

"Hey look I know this isn't a good time to be calling you, but it's Rue man, I need help with her, you reckon you can swing by and pick her up?" Fez asked desperately. He wasn't sure who to call, realising he had Emma number saved.

"I don't have my license but I can ride there." She suggested.

"Alright, try and get here as soon as you can." Fez said. Giving her his address, she quickly snuck out the front door. Making sure to text her mother that she is spending the night at Rues.

Fezco heard someone knocking at the door, getting up from the couch and opening the door.

"Where is she?" Emma asked desperately. Fez let her in and pointed to the couch. Emma quickly walked to the couch to find Rue knocked out.

"What happened?" Emma asked sternly, she sits next to Rue, concerned for friend.

"It's a long story man, my dealer came along while she was here, I told her she wasn't suppose to be here. He made her take Fetanyl." Fez said ashamed to look at Emma.

"Can you drive us to her place, I'll stay with her for the night." She asked. Still never taking her eyes of Rue. He agreed and helped Emma taking Rue out the house to his car.

"I don't want her doing this to herself anymore." Emma said, running her hands through Rues hair.

"I told her I ain't giving her drugs no more. I don't know if she will listen though. Knowing what Fetanyl does, it's just going to make sure crave for it more." Fez said, his eyes still on the road. Silence fell between the both of them. Fez would occasionally look back at Emma in the mirror, his feelings towards her was unclear. Usually the females he interacts with only want him for drugs, he sees that clearly. But with Emma, he just enjoys her company. Even though he called her to help him out with Rue, but really, he just wanted to see her again, wanting to know where this was heading between the two.

"Yo sorry for not talking to you after the party. A lot of shit has been going on, I haven't had much time to talk to many people lately." He apologised to the girl at the back of his car.

"You don't need to apologise, I understand. I'm sorry too, school and work has made me busy, and of course making sure Rue is okay." She apologised aswell, finally looking up and catching him watching her in the mirror.

"Nah you good, we got lives to live, responsibilities to take." He said, while paying attention to his driving.

"Thank you for looking after her though. It shows how truly kind hearted you are." She said giving him a small smile.

"Like I said she my family, always taking care of her. I'm making sure I ain't supplying her no more. I want her clean too." He said. Fez reached Rues house. He helped the girl take Rue out of his car, Emma took Rues left arm and put it around Her neck to support her standing.

"I'll see you around then?" Emma suggested to Fez.

"Yeah, I promise I'll call you sometime." He promised her, he noticed she was shivering, realising she left her house without bringing a jacket, she must've been in a rush without worrying for one he thought to himself.

"Are you cold ma?" He asked curiously, still watching her shiver.

"A little but I'll be okay when I get inside." She reassured him.

He quickly skimmed through his car to see he has a sweater in there for the shivering girl. He noticed his green sweater in the back seat, he turned around and passed it to Emma.

"Hopefully that keeps you warm." Fez said getting in his car.

"Thank you." Giving him a smile and then disappearing into the house with Rue dragging behind.

"Alright let's get you to bed." Emma said as she got into her room.

"Where am I?" Rue woke up confused.

"Home, I'm staying here tonight with you." Emma says, she looked at the green sweater that Fez gave to her. She put it on, instantly making her feel warm. Emma slipped into Rues bed, making herself feel comfortable.

"Goodnight RuRu." She yawned, closing her eyes instantly falling asleep to the smell of Fez on the sweater.
