With an extra bounce in every step, Spencer arrived at Trina's house. To say he was nervous would've been an understatement. She had decided to spend Spring break at home with her mother, and he found himself wondering if that was to ease Dr. Robinson's worries about agreeing to see him once he finished his month of retribution at the gallery. A smile started to spread across Spencer's face as he thought back to the day he asked Trina out. Though that smile disappeared just as quickly when the door opened.
"H-hi Mr. Taggert!" Spencer squeaked out.
Trina's dad wordlessly stepped outside, closing the door behind him. Towering over Spencer's six foot frame, Taggert's steely eyes sent a chill down his spine. "Detective."
Realizing his mistake, Spencer started to correct himself, but Taggert wasn't finished, "I hear you're here to take Trina on a date?"
"Y-yes sir. I am."
"Where?" Taggert asked.
Spencer blinked several times before Taggert spoke again, "Just where are you taking my baby girl, Cassadine?"
"To the new art exhibit in Nixon Falls, sir."
He watched as Taggert nodded slowly, stroking his goatee. "And what time will you have my daughter back home?"
As Spencer worked out the logistics in his head Taggert looked down at his watch before bringing a hard stare back to Spencer.
"I'll have her home well before her curfew, sir."
Spencer sighed as Taggert smiled. "Good, good answer." As the older man placed his hand on the door, Spencer's shoulder started to relax, but it was only short lived as Taggert paused. "You Cassadine's are always good with your words. But remember, so I am, and should any harm come to my baby girl while out with you -"
"Daddy! Is Spencer here?"
Even with the threat of bodily harm about to come from her father's lips, Spencer couldn't stop himself from grinning as Trina opened the door. She looked stunning, with her curly hair in a high bun, showing off a pair of rose gold hoops. As he brought his eyes down to take in the rest of her outfit, a floral romper and white Converses, Spencer heard Taggert clear his throat.
"You look amazing." He finally said, still not able to take his eyes off of her.
"Thanks. So do you." Trina answered.
Portia came into view, causing Spencer to look up. "You two have a great time."
"Remember what I said, Cassadine." Taggert's voice called out as the two left the house.

The 'Clash of Spring' exhibit was amazing!
Trina and Spencer arrived at the Falls museum earlier than expected, and the two of them were one of the first inside. All the pieces that were on display were from up and coming artists, which made for great conversation between them. One piece, titled 'Sparks', caused Spencer to pause. "Now, what about this one? How does this make you feel?"
As Trina looked up at Spencer and back to the painting, she took note of the bold and vibrant brush strokes on the canvas. While searching for the words she wanted to say, Trina heard Spencer softly chuckle. "What's funny?"
"Nothing. I just enjoy seeing you deep in thought." Spencer answered.
Trina could feel his stare and her hands struggled to keep to themselves. "Well, I like to think before I speak, unlike you."
"I do think before I speak!"
"Really? I hadn't noticed." Trina teased, causing Spencer to laugh. She closed her eyes, trying to take in more of the sound. Though as she opened them, Spencer stood directly in front of her.
"With you, I always take care in how I speak."
His eyes reached hers, and Trina didn't hesitate in taking his hand into hers. "Lucky me."
Her other hand made its way to Spencer's chest, and he enclosed it with his free hand. In that moment, the sounds of other art admirers all but disappeared as Trina tilted her head up toward Spencer's waiting lips. The feel of his soft lips against hers felt welcoming. She tried to look away, but her heart encouraged Trina to meet Spencer's eyes once again. The knowing smirk that she found waiting for her warmed her from the inside out.
"Are you blushing?" Spencer teased.
Trina then took her hand from his chest and swatted him. "I am not!"
"Now that is the only 'Spark' I care to see." he added, squeezing their still joined hands.
"Let's make one thing perfectly clear, I do not blu-"
Spencer leaned down, capturing Trina's lips again. Though just as quickly, he brought his head a few centimeters away. Trina's heart now buzzed furiously within her chest as her face grew warm.
"Don't worry, your secret is safe with me." Spencer softly said near Trina's ear.
Stepping away, he squeezed her hand as the two strolled away to enjoy more of the exhibit.
