There is a girl named Lily, who loved the outdoors, she loved to pick the flowers and smell them. Her most favorite thing to do is jump through the leaves, and run right through them. Her mother stayed home to work on the garden, clean the house, do the laundry, hang  the laundry, wash the dishes, clean the floor, mop the floors, and tend the chickens all in a day's work everyday. Her father works as a business men, she has a role in keeping everything in line, when things go wrong, he has to find another way to keep things in line in a very fast smooth company, when he has time he buys the list of groceries from work, buys tools, fix the house if the roof leaks, and does most of the heavy lifting. The girl has so little chores, but she doesn’t mind them. Do her homework, make eggs in the morning, do some dishes, help hang the laundry, feed the chickens, when she is done she gets to play all day.

Her friend right across the little bridge not far from their house, has lots of siblings: 2 older brothers, 3 older sisters, and 2 younger siblings, a boy, and a girl, they’re twins, identical twins to be exact. She has to feed the twins, change their diapers, do her homework, Help with the laundry, but she doesn’t really need to do her chores, she volunteers because she is now a big sister to 2 little ones. Her older siblings want her to play, and be a kid while she is still a kid, being stubborn as she is she doesn’t take no for an answer. She wants to be a nurse when she grows up.

When the two friends have time to play they play in the woodhouse that her friend's older brothers made for them. So they can play whatever they want to play and stay warm so they don’t get too cold.

They laugh, they giggle, and even enjoy jumping into the leaves. Who knows where’d they be in their imaginations, when it’s time for supper the girls go their separate ways for home. As night comes they snuggle both in their warm beds, as everyone heads to bed, everyone dreams a dream they like, and don’t like. Rest assured tomorrows a day where everyone is busy in their own way, school, work, chores, what whatever else in between they do about their day. For now, rest, go to sleep, and dream about a nice field over the flowers, and green grass lay.

One week has patiently passed since the girls had seen each other, they wondered if both of them were ok, and nothing too stressful happened. The Twins started to walk, and they all were getting ready to celebrate the twins upcoming birthday so her whole family had a list of chores to do before the guests started to arrive. Lily was bored because she had been waiting for her friend to be done with a week’s chores, but the twins' birthday was very important because half the community was invited including Lily's family. The day came when they were to finally meet. Everyone was having a grand time eating, laughing, catching up with each other. As soon as one’s belly was full, they slowly started to leave for home. Last but not least, Lily has been patiently waiting to play with her friend. She even loved to play with the twins! She loved them like they were her own brothers and sisters. They grew up with each other, and treated each other like family. Isn’t it lovely when you have family and friends but are not really family? Friendships like these are rare and we should cherish special moments as we grow.
