Ace RavendyllsI sat in the counselor office as the lady behind the desk typed away whatever she was typing, probably my schedule at this new school.
Westside High.
This is my second time transferring this school year, things should be pretty interesting. I smirked as I thought about how I ended up here.
You can say I wasn't the nicest guy out there, not the kind who'd simply accept the small mutter of "sorry," of some kid who bumped into me in the hallways and go on with my way, nah.
I always made sure I had a little fun with them before they were off my hook. That's when I'm feeling positive for the day. Last kid who tried to mess with me when I wasn't feeling it, is lying in a coma at the hospital right now which may or may not be the reason my parents had to move me out of the school, after giving the kid's parents shush money. David and Rachel are very reputable people who had an image to maintain, they'd do anything to keep clean of their perfect reputation; the ravishingly wealthy, kind, happy family. That's what everyone think anyway.
As much as they clean up after my mess they never cared enough to discipline me, not since I started causing "trouble" back in middle school. This was normal for me, nobody stops me and I do what I fucking want and I always get what I want.
The lady who I didn't care to remember the name of, handed me a paper printed out from her old printer.
"This is your class schedule for the school year dear, I'll have someone to show you around the school justtt in a bit." She smiled. I took the paper from her hand and gave her a nod. "Alrightt, let's get you in your classes. Katerina will show you around campus, she's right outside in the lounge, got any questions before you leave Mr. Ace?"
"No."
I swung the door open and walked out, I wasn't planning to waste my time letting some girl give me a tour of this stupid school. I was about to walk out of the counselors' offices department when my eyes landed on a girl sitting at the lounge area, reading a book with a matcha drink on the table in front.
She had long, jet black hair with porcelain skin. Her eyes a deep brown that almost looked black if you didn't look hard enough, focusing immensely into the book that she probably didn't even notice my intense stare on her.
I could feel my heart accelerate.
My palms grew sweaty.
My legs becoming weak as if I'd fall to my knees right then.
Who.. is this girl?
I didn't know, but I was going to find out.
I slowly walked up to where she was sitting, stopping a few feet before. It felt like there was butterflies in my stomach, am I nervous? Fuck, I've never been this nervous to talk to someone.
She looked up from her book feeling my presence. We made eye contact.
Oh my fucking God.
My heart fluttered and butterflies in my stomach became more hysteric. My heart felt as if it would jump out of my chest anytime soon.
What the fuck is going on.
She stood up from the sofa, closing her book and putting it down on the brown coffee table, "Hey, you must be Ace. I'm Katerina, I'll be showing you around campus." She smiled at me.
Her fucking smile. Her eyes. Her hair. Her lips.
She was perfect...
"A-Ace Ravendylls." I stuck out a hand towards her to shake.
Did I just fucking stutter.
She took my large hand with her small delicate one and shook it. I didn't know why I wanted to shake hands. Who fucking shake hands these days, she probably thinks I'm fucking weird now.
But it was worth it, I just wanted to touch her, even just her hand. And just as I imagined, her hand was smooth as a new born baby's ass. I couldn't help but smile, I was so fucking satisfied.
"Well, let's get going Ace."
Ace.
I've never liked someone saying my name as much as she just did now.
I'd record it and listen to it all day long.
I followed close behind her as we both walked down the halls. She started showing me my classes one by one. She told me this school had only four periods each semester because they did block schedule. Great.
God I hope she was in one of my classes.
We were walking to my last class when some kid ran into her when we turned a corner, the papers from the folder the boy was holding on to scattered everywhere.
How dare he bump into her.
I was about to give him a piece of my shit when I heard Katerina's angelic voice.
"Gosh, I'm so sorry!"
She immediately started bending down and picking up the papers with the boy, collecting all the papers back.
"No, it was my fault. Thanks anyway." The boy smiled at her and walked away.
Something in me did not like how he smiled at her. Why the fuck was he smiling at her?
It wasn't even her fault why was she apologizing and helping him anyway? She was truly an angel. I could immediately tell she was a kind and generous person.
"Sorry about that, the school's hallways corners are designed for you to run into people if you're not paying attention." She chuckled shortly and led the way again.
Damn, her little chuckle..
The bell rang, dismissing first period just as we arrived at my last class. We both stopped outside the class's woody brown door.
"Well, this is your last class. You can come up and ask me for anything that you need. I'll have to go now before my second period starts, see you around Ace." She beamed at me happily and walked down the hall before I could muster up something to say, words got stuck in my throat.
But I knew one thing; As soon as she was out of my sight, I missed her presence.
Terribly.
The strawberry vanilla scent that whips past my nose ever so often when I got close enough near her. Her voice..
I missed it.
Shaking my head from the ridiculous thoughts, I decided to find and get to my second period.
I'm trippin'. Hard.
