A grain of sticky sweat drips on my forehead as I faced Chocho's interrogation. You know she won't let anything pass by without her knowledge especially on something 'fishy' in my life.

"I don't know what's the deal with you two now," she starts and grabs the cupcake from the plate and takes a bite.

She invited me over to their pastry shop to get the latest news from me and to talk about the university.

"Nothing is going on between us, come on," I tell her but she seems not convinced with it.

"And what about the date the last time we met?" she raises one brow and hangs the cupcake in the air.

"It was not a date," I insist.

"It's not a date and what do you call it then?" she teases me. I roll my eyes and cross my arms in front of her.

"Now tell me!" she feels excited all of a sudden.

"What makes you giggle like that?" I freak out.

"You two are mysteriously hanging out?" she snickers.

"Of course not!" I snap and she stops giggling.

"Okay, you look upset," she sits firmly on the chair and waits for me to say something.

"Look, let me explain to you," I say and I crouch near the table because I am aiming to speak privately to her.

"Don't make me fret. I hate it when you gesture like that," she looks nervous. I have to secretly laugh at her statement.

"I don't want someone else to hear and misunderstand us on talking about him," I say and hush.

"Nobody's here beside us. You can talk at ease," she winks at me.

"Are you sure we will not interrupt your customers when you hysterically giggle to what I'll say?" I ask her and she sighs. She drags me to the corner where is far from the people entering their shop.

"I think it's fine here," she settles down. I look at her and she stares back.

"What?" I ask.

"What, what? Tell me your explanation," she demands and I shrug.

"It's not what you think it is," I start and her brows twitch.

"What do you mean?" she asks out of curiosity.

"We're not hanging out. It's impossible. It's all about the bet," I reveal to her.

"What bet? Why did not I know about it?" she frets.

"Calm down. Listen to me first," I say calmly and she nods.

"Go on," she utters.

"It was at the Festival. I think the bet was a punishment for me underestimating him," I look down.

"I don't get it just yet, please continue," she begs and I nod.

"I asked him about which university he would go and I found out that he was planning on going to his dad's university and of course, I asked about his course too and he said he wanted to study medicine. You know you would not believe it at first. But I think I was terrible," I flush at the thought.

"I thought it was just me and you did the same thing as well," she chuckles.

"We don't know him just yet, indeed," I say and she crosses her arms.

"So, what happened that day?" she keeps asking me.

"I became his slave. Bought him food and won him a stuffed toy," I wave in front of her.
