Chapter 15

So I'd like to thank everyone for commenting their ideas for this chapter, I loved all of them & I know that some people wanted drama so there's going to be some drama in this chapter!

-Roxy's POV-

I was nervous, pacing back & forth in my living room, I was biting at my nail, why did they have to call today? Why did they have to organise this today? You're probably wondering what I'm worrying over, well, my mam just called & her & my dad wants to go out for a meal to meet Jack, the only reason I'm worrying about is what they think about Jack, I heard footsteps that weren't my own enter the living room, "Roxy, what's up?" I heard Jack's voice from the doorway of the living room.

I stopped pacing & looked up at the Irishman, "Just something with my parents, they want to meet you tonight." I said as I bit my lip slightly, he walked over & engulfed me in a massive hug, "I can ensure you that they'll love me, what's not to love." He said with a big cheesy grin on his face which made me giggle slightly, "Not a lot..." I said as I pecked him on the lips.

-Time-Skip-

I was in the bathroom finishing up on my make up, I had thick winged eyeliner on & I was applying red lipstick, I was wearing a black & white striped vest top with a black cardigan, black ripped skinny jeans & black Vans Hi-Tops. I walked out of the bathroom to see jack standing there in a black button down shirt, black jeans & black dress shoes, "Well well well... someone knows how to scrub up well." I smirked slightly as I have him a hug.

On the outside I was calm, but on the inside I was worried & nervous, I was worried on what they'd think about him & I was just becoming more & more worried & I think Jack was picking up that I was because he hugged me tighter, "Listen to me, everything is going to be okay, I promise." He said as he kissed my cheek, I grabbed my keys, phone & purse & locked my apartment, I took jacks hand as we walked out of the complex & into the streets of Glasgow.

-Time-Skip-

We got to the restaurant where we were meeting my parents & I stopped before we walked in, taking a deep breath & opened the door, I could instantly tell that my mother was there because of her hair, she has this thing of going through different colours every month, so now she has a dark brow/black hair colour. I walked up to their table & took another deep breath, "Mam, dad." I said slightly shakily as the both turned around, "Ah Roxy dear! It's good to see you! My mother said as she stood up & hugged me, when she let go, she looked at Jack with a slightly disgusted look, "Look what the cat dragged in..." she mumbled which I heard, & made me ever so slightly pissed off, "Mam, this is Jack, Jack, this is my mam." Jack smiled at my mam & she gave him a fake smile, this is going to be a long night...

I went to my dad & gave him a long hug, I haven't seen him in a good few months, he's usually worked a lot so I wasn't able to see him, & vice versa, "Dad, this is Jack, Jack, this is my dad." They shook hands & smiled genuine smiles at each other, at least these two got along. As soon as we sat down my mam started with the questions, "So Jack, how old are you?" "I'm 25 years old." She nodded slightly, "& What do you do for a job?" "Well I do the same as Roxy, I make videos on YouTube." That's when her face turned sour & when my grip tightened on the tablecloth.

"Oh, so you're one of those people who don't actually have a job?" I bit my lip as my mam said that, "Well no, because I do get paid for the content that I make, the same with Roxy, she gets paid for her content too." I looked at Jack & he looked slightly irritated & to be honest, I don't blame him. "Oh I know that you get paid, I'm just saying that sitting playing games for a living isn't a job." She looked like she didn't give a care in the world, which she didn't.

I was sick of her, the way she talked about YouTube being a temporary thing. "I don't see the point in this, it's a waste of time & money..." that was when I stood up from the table, "You know what mam, I'm sick of this... you always put me down for what I do... don't bother calling me until you have come to your senses." I said as I walked out the restaurant & Jack followed.

"I knew this was a bad idea..." I mumbled as I was biting my nail, "It wasn't your fault, it was that person with no taste fault." Jack smiled as he put an arm around my shoulder, I giggled & pulled him into a hug, "You always know how to make a bad situation better..." I giggled slightly.

We stood like that for a while, I heard something coming towards us, I turned my head & saw a garbage truck coming towards us, I gasped & pushed Jack out of the way, he looked confused at what I did, I mouthed to him 'I love you' as I braced for impact...

So I hope this isn't bad, because I wrote this at 3:15am, also I'm not disrespecting on the accident that happened in Glasgow before Christmas last year with the garbage truck, I send out my love to the family who have lost their family members
