I ran upstairs and texted Kayla right away.
Elise❤️: GUESS WHAT I GOT!!
Kayla💜: THANK GOD YOU ARENT DEAD!! I TEXTED YOU LIKE 60 TIMES!! Anyways, YAY! She finally gave it to you! I'm going with you!
Elise❤️: How'd you know I got Magcon tickets and VIP passes?
Kayla💜: Your mom and I have been planning it since last Christmas.
Elise❤️: You guys are the best.
Kayla💜: I know😘 hey. I have to go eat breakfast.
Elise❤️: Okay. Walk to school with me? It's my birthday.
Kayla💜: Of course! Be there in 20 mins.
I locked my phone and wiped away my tears of joy.
~20 minutes later~
*buzz* *buzz*
Kayla💜: hey. I'm here✌️
Elise❤️: Okay. Just let yourself in. You know where the key is. I'll be down in a sec😊
She let herself in and we walked to school. The walk to school was fairly quiet. We were both so excited for Magcon. We would leave on Wednesday and return on Monday. This year, Magcon was in Seattle, Washington.
"Do you know what hotel we are staying at?" Kayla asked but it sounded like she already knew the answer.
"Um. No. Do you?" I asked.
"Mayybbee....." She said with a giant smile.
"Well tell me!" I said anxiously.
"We are staying in the same hotel as the Magcon boys!!!" She screamed.
We both screamed our hearts out and ran to school.
~after school~
School was okay. A few tests, birthday wishes from friends, gifts, and a little singing. Kayla came over after school. We got ice cream on the way to my house. We swam, ate, baked cookies, opened presents, and talked. Same old routine.
~skip to Wednesday~
Kayla and I listened to music the whole drive to Magcon. We ended up falling asleep. When we got to the hotel, Kayla and I grabbed the bags while my mom checked in.
"Here, let me help you with those" he said as he grabbed the bags from my hands.
