(We end up back in the empty hallway following Alistor. He then turns around to face us and begins to walk backwards as he starts to talk to us.)

Alistor. That . . .was my friend Jess. And before you ask, Yes she is always that grumpy. We’ve known each other since the second grade and I don’t think I’ve ever seen her smile once. Not even when I invited her over to come see my treehouse (The screen swipes to a flashback of second grade Alistor and Jess, sitting cross legged in Alistor’s treehouse. Books, magazines, puzzles, and boardgames strone out across the floor, Alistor smiling proudly and Jess seemingly questioning her life choices with a cold, hard glance.) But you’re probably more interested in why she can see me and others can’t. I think It’s cause we were friends, but It could also be in my control somehow, like I can reveal myself to people only when I want to, kinda weird, just . . . don’t think about it too much.

(Alistor arrives In what appears to be a Science Lab. Students, dressed appropriately with gloves and protective eyewear, are working in pairs to conduct an experiment. Alistor walks over to the far corner of the lab where two students are working diligently, one has dark brown skin, neatly groomed black hair in tight ringlets, the makings of a beard forming on his chin, and honey colored eyes complete with Glasses. He also has a tall, muscular figure.)

Alistor. You see that tall guy right over there? That’s my friend Tyson. He seems too cool for this kinda stuff but really, he lives for it. (To Tyson.) Hey, you excited for the game this week, it’s going to be a real rager? (Tyson gives Alistor a venomous stare with his glowing chestnut eyes, making sure his lab partner was busy with the experiment. He takes this as a sign to leave him alone.)
