Caroline was just putting on her last earring when she heard the suite door open and close, signaling Klaus' return. She was surprised when he didn't immediately appear in their room. Granted she knew when he had left that he was already dressed and ready for their date but she still expected him to seek her out. So after slipping on her shoes, she went in search of him.

As she entered the main area, she was surprised to find him standing by the large windows and French doors that led to the balcony. He was dressed in black slacks with a red button down dress shirt, the collar left open and she could see his ever present necklaces underneath. The clothes fit his muscular frame perfectly making her lick her lips a little at the thought of what was underneath them. "Hey, what are you doing out here all by yourself?"

Klaus turned towards her, a smile on his face as his eyes raked over her. "Waiting for my beautiful date, of course."

Caroline returned his smile as she moved towards him. "I expected you to come into our room while I was finishing getting ready."

"I was giving you a few moments to finish." Klaus explained as he reached for her hand and brought it to his lips for a kiss. "Considering this is our first date, I thought I would do things properly and come to your door. However you seemed to be too impatient and foiled my plan."

"Oh, you should have told me and I could have avoided that." She reprimanded him. "And our first date huh? Well I hope you know that I'm not the kind of girl who sleeps with a guy on their first date."

"Excuse me, I meant first dinner date." He corrected quickly.

"Oh, well then we'll have to see how it goes won't we?" Caroline ribbed. "I mean it is still technically a first date."

"You are an evil woman, Caroline." Klaus declared.

"Consider it payback for your little sexy talk stunt yesterday." She retorted. She watched as he inclined his head towards her, as if conceding to her words. She believed she had won until he used the hold he still had on her hand to pull her close to him, capturing her lips with his. Klaus' kiss was so passionate that Caroline felt as if her toes were curling. He pulled away after a minute and stepped back, leaving her breathless. "We should get going."

"What?" Caroline asked her focus not on what he was saying but his lips in front of her. However when those lips curved into a roguish smile at her question, she snapped out of her daze. "Right, dinner."

"Yes, we don't want to miss our reservations and we still have a bit of a journey to get there." Klaus replied as he moved to the door and opened it, motioning for her to step through first. "After you."

Caroline exited the room quickly, Klaus right behind her as they moved toward the elevator. As they waited, she slipped her hand into his and leaned into him. "I'm assuming you had no problem dropping the twins off?"

"No, they were very excited to go although Henry was a bit worried." Klaus stated. "About what?" Caroline asked surprised. Henry and Lexi had both been looking forward to their night at the Sandcastle Club so she was confused as to what might have discouraged him.

"He was worried that with he and Lexi away that you and I might not have any fun tonight." He explained just as the door opened and they stepped inside.

Caroline burst into laughter at his statement. "I hope you settled his fears."

"I did my best, though I don't think he had much faith in my assurances that we would keep ourselves…entertained." Klaus stated giving her a look that spoke volumes about the conversation he had had with his son.

Caroline had no problem believing that Henry would indeed be concerned that they might be bored without them, after all kids had difficulties imagining adults being able to have fun when they weren't around. They didn't understand that adults could enjoy themselves with simple things like a quiet dinner or conversation. She continued to giggle the whole way down and it wasn't until they were outside that she was able to speak again.
