"Is that what you are wearing?" Toga looks at Dabi's outfit. Eyeing him up and down in disappointment, why must the singer have such a boring wardrobe?
"What's wrong with it?"
"It's not cute that's what's wrong with it !" Toga mentally screeched at an unamused Dabi.
"Nothing!" She plainly says with the most fakest smile the girl could make.
The singer just rolls his eyes before grabbing the plastic containers that had his breakfast and put it in his bag.
They both head out to the back, Toga still couldn't get over the lack of pink or any cute color in his outfit.
Every time she sees her friend is always black, black, black! Never once has he added any pretty color, she wishes he would try on a new color, at least for his nails. Unlike her he's wearing a black face mask, black hoodie jacket, black pants, black boots, black shades. The man has no real style! But strangely that's what the fans love about their singer, besides the attitude and how he uses his quirk during performance.
Now that she really thinks about it, the only member who at least attempts to dress well is Atsuhiro. Besides that everyone in the band dresses up like somebody died. But then again, the fans love them regardless like how much they love her.
They reach the end of the alleyway but Dabi stops. Toga looks at him with a confused look behind her heart shaped sunglasses .
"Do you have your blood?"
"Seriously Dabi?" Toga looks at him "How did you think I got here?" She takes out a vile of blood from her bag with no label. She takes the lid off , takes a shot and transforms into one of the camera crew.
Toga sees Dabi looking at her with a raised eyebrow
She rolls her eyes
" relax Dabi I asked permission this time!"
He looks back at the light where civilians and some heroes alike were walking minding their own damn business. Toga stares at her phone as Dabi looks out, he prefers to wait for there to be very little people walking on the sunny sidewalk so no one can recognize him for personal reasons.
She is seeing some unread messages from their boss saying stuff like:
"Where the hell are you?"
"Is Dabi with you?"
"Don't tell me you dragged him to the mall again "
And one message from Twice, her best friend saying
" Tenko is getting mad"
Followed by a
"It's hilarious!"
Before Toga could respond to any message Dabi muttered a "let's go" and on they went. With Toga in her bloody disguise and Dabi dressed up like a hobo.
Dabi kept his head down, in case any of his scars or staples were to poke out and give away his cover.
"I can smell the coffee!" stated Toga
"Great, we're close"
They stop at the Starbucks in front and as they entered the building the smell of coffee hits their noses.
"Welcome to Starbucks! What can I get your order?"
Dabi goes through his wallet
"Yeah you have anything that can help stomach rat poison?"
( skip to the studio)
"I'm baaaaaaaaack!" Toga sings making her hands do the "jazz hands" with Dabi carrying the bag of burnt food and coffee.
"Togaaaaaaaaa" Twice runs to her and hugs her tightly.
Spinner looks up from his phone "Were you asleep?" he asks Dabi.
"And what is that horrible smell?" Mr. Compress asks
"Where's Tenko?" Dabi responds with another question.
"Where the hell were you?" Tenko's asks in annoyed tone from behind, spooking Toga and Twice.
Dabi turns around to see the crusty band leader, Tenko Shimura also known by his stage name Tomura Shigaraki stare at him. He looked like he didn't get any sleep, his hair was as even more messy. His hand was scratching his neck, something he always does when he's mad or stressed.
"Good to see you're in a good mood" Dabi replies sarcastically.
"Don't give me that crap! What the fuck happened last night?!" Tenko scratches his neck faster
Dabi looks away "we lost-"
"Lost?! We didn't just "lost" at some award show! It was the Battle of the Bands!" He screams.
"Oh! And to a bunch of teens!" Twice adds
" And to a bunch of teens! To newbies!"
"Come on boss, it wasn't that bad-" Twice gets shut down by Shigaraki.
"That bad?! We were HUMILIATED! ON LIVE TV!"
His voice rises, startling Dabi a bit before immediately returning to his don't care persona.
"AND WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT SMELL?!"
"Rat poison" he answers lifting the bag of Shoto's "breakfast". "Tenko, what are you getting at? We lost for the first time ever in our career. Did you call us all here to scream at us?"
" NO I DIDNT JUST GOT YOU GUYS HERE TO YELL AT YOU!"
"Then what is it?" Toga asks
"I AM HERE TO DISCUSS WHAT THE FUCK HAPPENED LAST NIGHT!"
"You already are" Spinner mumbled
" Shuichi shush!" Compress shushes him
" Atsuhiro! You know it's true!" Toga shrugs
" EVERYONE SHUT UP! WE ARE HAVING THIS MEETING! SO SIT DOWN! WE ARE GONNA DISCUSS HOW WE MADE OURSELVES LOOK LIKE FAILURES LAST NIGHT!"
Dabi cringed at the word failure, they all sit down on their own chairs while Tenko sat in his.
The band knew they messed up somehow, and now with their first loss they wonder how they will continue their next big thing. It was something they talked about all year.
Tenko takes a deep breath and stares directly at Dabi.
" What the hell kind of performance was that Dabi?"
