"Don't over react, you know I can't make it in time. It isn't my fault", Shivaay shouted over the phone.

"You promised her Shivaay", Annika also gave back to her husband.

"I know, but this meeting came up at the last minute, I couldn't do anything. This is important too"

"More important than your daughter and her happiness? "

"Don't go that way. You very well know that is wrong", Shivaay barked back.

"Then what you are doing is right?", Annika said.

"Okay fine. Think whatever you want to. It would be better if I don't come back only. You have been getting more irritable in the past few days"

"Is it? Then fine, don't come. I will handle my daughter", she knew that he would get angry at that.

"She is our daughter and might as well remember that", he remarked angrily.

"Yeah, then come here fast"

The next thing she heard was a loud shout, the sound of a crash and then the line went dead.

"Shivaaaaay"

This story is inspired by the TS 'The Forgotten Wife' by mayeshawrites I loved the story a lot and thought of expanding it beyond the TS circle. Just to let you know, I am not taking the previous story forward but just keeping the basic premise of Shivaay forgetting Annika. It is in no way related to 'The Forgotten Wife' though you might feel some parts co-inciding with it because of the plot. Enjoy!
