Shivaay again woke up with a throbbing headache and flashes of the accident. He opened his eyes and that exact moment, someone switched on the lights. He held his hand in front of his eyes to stop the blinding light. And then opened his eyes slowly to hear his wife's sweet voice.

"Shivaay, what happened? Did you see anything again?", she asked him concerned.

"No", he replied after taking a deep breath. "It is just that at the moment I opened my eyes, you switched on the lights. That almost blinded me"

"I am sorry. I was just at the poolside and saw you getting up. So, I went to get you dinner."

She said and kept the plate in front of him. He smiled a bit.

"Yeah, I was anyway really hungry"

"Good for you"

Annika took a spoonful of khichdi and forwarded it to his mouth but he refused to open his mouth.

"Umm Annika, I don't want this. This looks so bland and tasteless"

"Shivaay, this isn't tasteless. And it has some spices. Have it quietly because you have been advised to have this. Eat fast as you also have to eat medicines after this"

Shivaay still refused and turned his face away.

"No no Annika. I won't have this. Get me something tasty. This is sick people's food"

"Exactly and you are the one who is sick. The dressing also needs to be changed. Have it na, please"

"No, I won't"

Annika started laughing loudly making Shivaay look at her with utter confusion. Just a minute ago, she was hell irritated and now she was laughing like a maniac.

He raised his eyebrows in question at her and she subdued her laughter.

"Arre, a few months ago, when I had fallen ill, you had prepared khichdi for me and were trying hard to feed me that and I was showing you the exact nakhre noor jahan ke you are flaunting in front of me, aapko yaad nahi hai kya?" She said this in a flow and stopped immediately as she realized what she said.

She straightened up and saw Shivaay's face frozen. The expressions on his face depicted sadness. She shouldn't had said that. She hit her head and controlled her tears that were on the brink of falling. Her tears were the last thing she wanted him to see, especially when he was still recovering. So, she quickly thought of an idea and held her ears in an apology.

"Sorry na"

He looked at her and a small smile graced his face when he saw Annika's pout and puppy face. She looked too cute, he had to agree.

"Fine"

"What? That's all you say, fine? Fine bhi koi jawaab hota hai. Idhar meine maafi maangi and its okay ki jagah, all he says is fine" She muttered all of this under her breath while he could only control her laughter. Finally, he had to interrupt her.

"Annika, kya bol rahi ho"

"Kuch nahi, aapse matlab", she said and started stirring the khichdi to cool it down.
