All classes were dismissed from like an hr now and i cant see my mom coming

i took out my phone and rang my mom.

'Mom?' i said

'Yes, K'lah' she said still sounding a little emotional

'U were supposed to come for me today'

She started crying harder.

'mom, are u alright?' i said

'B-b-a-a-bb-y, i-i-ll make ur d-d-d-aa-d pick u u—p' she said sobbing

'Ook' i said while hanging up

my pov

uhhh, i'm a little worried about my mom, this morning she was bawling her eyes out and my dad did a little too.

i'm scared.

i looked outside and i saw my dad waiting for me there.

'GA, Dad'

'GA' my dad said

'Uhh, question, y couldn't mom pick me up?' i said concerned

'Ummm...' he said turning away

'Why aren't u guys telling me wassup?!' i said sounding a little mad

'Honey, its best if u just find out by yourself.' he said tapping my shoulder.

i looked outside and saw that he missed our road to go home.

'dad,u missed the tu——-' 

'I know honey'

'Where are we going?'

' Just wait and see'

after that, there was 2 minutes of silence until i saw that we were at the hospital.

'Why are we here? Is Mom Sick? is that the reason y she couldnt pick me up?' i said sounding worried

'No, Just chill, You'll find out soon'

We got in and we went to the receptionist

'k'lah, can you go sit over there?'

'uhhh, sure'

2 mins later

we were walking to an hospital room, 2B, when i heard loud crying, it sounded like my mom.

we got in and i saw my mom crying her eyes out, with a few other people. one of them was my aunt.

i looked in the bed and i saw a girl my age lying in an hospital bed, she looked about my age.

she had strings all over her, but they were mostly at her heart. the machine was also beating awfully fast.

'mom, y r u crying?' i said

'B-a-b-y, thi-ss is La'Q——Ayy'

'This is laquay!!!?' i said while tears were forming.

'Yes klah' my dad said

'How can it be?, how long has she been in here?'

'Just one day' my aunt, jenna, said

'how did this happen?'

'well, last night, her dad, which is that man, had told me that she had been complaining of pains in that area, but she thought it was just her heart acting up again, but then it was starting to get a little worse, so she went to him N tell him and he called me to tell me, but by the time i arrived an ambulance had already gone with her. i was freaking out until he got a call, and the doctor had said she had a heart attack, and she has to do surgery on her heart today.'

'So did she do the surgery?'

'yes, but normally, she would wake up, but she hasnt!' my mom said

'Ok, that means she's on life support'

'Yes k'lah' she said with attitude

'Ok then, i'm gonna g—-' i said never gotten to finish my sentence, by someone speaking

'K'l—ah' a weak voice said.

'Who said that?' i asked sounding confused.

'Omag!!!! La-la-la-quay!!' they all said crowding her

'Who just said my name?' i said again

'm—e' Laquay said

'Laquay??! u woke up!' i said walking up to her.

'Yea, bu—-t i'm quite weak'

'Aww, i'm sorry, but how'd u know my name?'

'Because i could hear all of y'all talking and our mom said ur name a few times' she said laughing a little.

'oh yea, right!' i said laughing back.

just a little bit after, the doctor came into the room.

'ok now, i'm gonna have to ask some of u to leave, so that we can give la qu—-

Oooh, La'quay, its nice to see ur awake, how u feeling?'

'A little weak'

'ok, now, ur results are in and it has been told that u are be able to leave tomorrow but now, ur family have to leave for u to get some more rest and so that we can treat ur heart. the doctor said.

'Umm ok doctor, we'll leave, we'll come back tomorrow at what time?' my mom said

'U can come about 1'

'Ok doctor, bye laquay, get some rest, I love you, Ok?' my mom said kissing her forehead and a tear slipping out of her eye.

'We love you laquay' we all said blowing a kiss.

La'quay was in tears.

'I love u guys too' she said returning the kiss.

'Hope i can get to spend time with you tomorrow Quay,Get some rest' I said kissing her forehead

'Thanks Lah'lah' she said with a smile.

'i laughed, great, i'll sure to use that nickname'

we both laughed
