Two Alphas?

Prologue

Disclaimer: I hope no one finds this story offensive, because that's not my intention at all. I've been asked many times to write a story where one of them feels like they're born in the wrong body but I have hesitated, because I have been unsure if I would be able to make that justice. Then the idea to make an ABO story where Harry feels like his secondary gender is wrong came to mind. ABO is a fictional, magical universe where anything can happen. By making Harry transform twice (I know that I'm giving away the whole plot here, sorry) I could explore it and get a happy ending. This does not mean that I don't see a transman as a real man or a transwoman as a real woman, because I do. If you identify as something, I support it full-heartedly without judgment and second thoughts. Be whoever you wanna be. Whatever makes you happy. Whatever makes you feel like you.

This is not really a transgender story, it's a story about feeling different, where Harry can't identify as an Alpha. I don't know if this disclaimer made it worse. As a Swede, or just as a person with a kind heart I'm afraid to offend someone or be politically incorrect. I'm gonna stop rambling now. Just have in mind that it's written with love. ❤ I hope you'll like it.

When Louis went into rut and was represented as an Alpha no one was surprised. He had always been the natural leader of their group of friends. Bossy, sassy, loud, and dominant and they all looked up to him and not just because he was the oldest of them. Louis was just a great person to sit around and admire what he was like. At least that was what Harry thought. He was the youngest of them.

Just like everyone was certain that Louis would be an Alpha there was no question about what Harry would represent as when that day came. Harry was sweet and soft and giggly. He cared about everyone and everything, and was always there with a hug and a word of comfort whenever someone needed it. He was sensitive. Harsh words could make him cry for hours. Louis was the only one who could soothe him. They were all great friends but Harry and Louis had always had a special bond despite the two-year difference between them. The rest of the boys were certain that they would be a thing when they were older and often joked about it.

It wasn't as clear what the rest of them would represent as. They were pretty sure that Liam would be an Alpha, and they were right. They all thought that Zayn and Niall would be Betas but they were only fifty percent right. Niall stayed a Beta, but Zayn represented as an Omega but he was okay with it. He might not be the obvious Omega like Harry, but he was also more private about stuff. It wasn't a big surprise to him that he was an Omega.

Then it was just Harry left. He waited a whole year, excited when he finally turned thirteen. His mum had the talk with him a couple of weeks ago, that embarrassing talk of what to expect when he turned, if he turned. She made sure to tell him that it didn't matter what he represented as or if he stayed a Beta. She told him about what to expect from a rut but her main focus was on the Omega heat, since he from the age of ten had been telling her that he was sure that he would be an Omega.

Like most households they had a soundproof, secure room in the basement. His mum had stocked it full with everything he could possibly need from food and water to cozy blankets if he needed to make a nest. He had snuck something else in there, something he would need when he was in heat. Something he had bought with blushed cheeks.

He could feel it starting and stripped out of his clothes, excited to finally experience it. He laid down on the bed and waited for his heat to kick in.

He came to his senses five days later and at first his memory was hazy but then it came to him. He sat up and gasped in horror. No! He hadn't gone into heat. He had experienced a rut. He was an Alpha? How the hell did that happen? It was wrong! It felt all wrong. He burst out crying.
