Chapter VIII ♡ starting over
❀
I know we lost touch, somewhere between
Worrying about us and worrying about me
Oh, do you think we can try again, try again?
Oh, do you think we can try again, try again?
And when you gave up, gave up on me
I know that I said go ahead leave
Oh, do you think we can try again, try again?
Jungkook
Jungkook woke up sometime around the middle of the night, covered in a whole ass Jimin, fingers still holding his phone tightly and with terribly sore muscles. He cracked one eye open, checking his phone. A sleepy smile danced on his lips the moment his vision landed on his notifications.
Taehyung replied.
He managed to move Jimin a bit and seat him on the pillow, in a much more comfortable position. He was sleeping soundly, urging Jungkook to join him. He nested himself back in Jimin's arms and fell back asleep, feeling a bit more content than before.
It felt like the night sky full of stormy clouds had finally been replaced by the serenity of countless stars.
Jungkook didn't feel pressure anymore, Jimin helped him understand there is enough time.

Jungkook agreed to meet the following day in the morning in the park by the college. It didn't have to be anything special, nor a date, and a public space was more appealing to Jungkook after all that happened.
He didn't know how to apologize to Taehyung for ignoring him properly, but he also didn't want to make things more complicated than they already were, so he just bought two lattes as a small apology. He almost dropped both cups the moment he spotted Taehyung approaching him, bruised and with a swollen eye.
"What happened to you?"He asked as soon as Taehyung joined him on the bench. It was pretty chilly outside that day, windy even, but at least it wasn't raining, so they could spend some time outside talking if that was necessary.
"Long story." He laughed it off for the moment, avoiding Jungkook's question skillfully. "Is that for me?" He opened his eyes wide, at least one of them, and Jungkook gave him the coffee with a nod.
"Yeah, I bought what you had last time when we went for a coffee."
Surprised, Taehyung takes the cup and looks at Jungkook for a mere second, eyebrows arched. He didn't say anything though, eventually replacing the questioning look with a faint smile. "Thank you."
Jungkook didn't know where to start, but he had to go from somewhere. He wanted to say a lot of things, but Taehyung might have still been angry at him. Jungkook didn't want to ruin his opportunity, but he didn't want to offer Taehyung false expectations either. He thought it wasn't going to be easy.
"I'm sorry." He began without hesitation. "For... not replying to your texts."
Taehyung nodded at that, indicating that he kind of accepted the apology, but wasn't necessarily convinced.
"I'm sorry for... Monday as well. I-" Jungkook decided to give Taehyung some more insight, a proper explanation maybe, on why he reacted like that, but the other interrupted him.

FanficJungkook couldn't stand frat parties, fuckboys, and Kim Taehyung-not necessarily in that order. The thumping bass of cheap EDM music and the sour stench of spilled beer were enough to make him swear off ever stepping foot into one again. But it was...
