"Hey, can I come in?" A voice spoke from outside the door, it sounded soft and angelic.
"Yes of course!" Sophia said and motioned for the person to come in.
The person walked in. It was Gene, another friend that Aiden has know for around 8 years. Aiden came running down the stairs and hugged Gene tightly.
"Whoa- What's with the tight hugs.." Gene sounded like he couldn't talk from being squeeze so tightly.
"I just.. haven't seen you in a while." Aiden claimed
"It has been a week since we last saw each other.. It hasn't been that long." Gene laughed slightly and then smiled.
"Ok you two love birds, cut it out." Sophia blurted out.
Aiden and Gene looked at Sophia.
"Sophia, Just cause you can't find a relationship doesn't mean you have to ruin my chances at one." Aiden blurted out
"Ouch, my heart!" Sophia put both her hands on her heart and pretended to be hurt. Aiden didn't mean what he said. They joke around like this a lot.
"Damn.. Aiden went right for your throat Sophia!" Gene said and then busted out laughing.
Sophia turned to Gene and smacked him upside the head.
"Your just jealous because Aiden here liked me for a while and doesn't even like you back." Sophia smirked as she said that.
"Ok girls, enough!" Aiden shouted, he saw that the comments were getting out of hand and uncalled for.
"Sorry." Gene and Sophia said at the same time, their voices overlapping each other.
"Good, Now let me explain what is going on to Gene." Aiden said pulling Gene by his arm, up the stairs into Sophia's room, Sophia followed.
"What is going on?" Gene asked.
"So, My mother passed away this morning. I found her diary.. which said some things about magic, and how I have magic." Aiden explained.
"Im sorry to hear mama Lilian passed." Gene frowned.
"Anyways, she used magic to slow down the sickness and it was taking away her magic. She then mentioned me and how I could help her as well but I wouldn't know how to cause it was complex." Aiden said.
"So basically what im here is that your mom was a witch, and she says in her diary that you are too?" Gene asked.
"Yes, That is exactly what im saying Gene." Aiden said, looking at Sophia.
"Im not saying that it isn't possible, im just saying from all the knowledge we have on magic and witches, they make it seem like its hard to hide." Sophia looked right at Aiden.
"I mean.. if she says Aiden is a witch and that she was a witch too, then I believe it." Gene stated.
"Ok, Aiden open that book. Lets read it and figure out what kind of witch things you can do." Sophia said, staring right at the book in Aiden's hands.
Aiden opened the book and began to read out loud.
"This book is for any witch that is just now discovering their talents, Each witch is gifted with 2 abilities. One of them is different for every witch, Im Lilian pierce and im a witch. My unique ability is that I can manipulate molecules, I could turn dirt into water and dirt in diamonds. All through the touch of my two hands, the other ability is spell casting. which is a complicated ability, but once you learn how to do it, it gets easier.
Just take it slow, one moment at a time. Trying mastering one thing first before you work on the next. My recommendation is to try mastering or being able to control your unique ability before working on spell casting."
Aiden looked at Gene and Sophia and closed the book
