▬▬ CASSIE HAD TAKEN refugee at Paul's house, at home Bella was back and once again acting as if she didn't exist. So, she stayed where she was wanted.

She was pleasantly surprised that his small, one bed room cabin of sorts was so clean. He didn't have a lot of stuff, a couch and a chair with a few mismatched end tables. There was a bookshelf but it held very few books, it was mostly CDs and pictures ― pictures of them that had been taken over the past few months. The kitchen was small, it just barely fit the stove and the fridge, which was understandable since he usually ate with the pack. And his room had a bed, full sized and the sheets were black and the comforter was blue ― he told her he had gotten them from Emily. There was a desk that had a few textbooks and papers, and there was a basket next to the dresser that was spilling over with cut offs and a few t-shirts.

After the tour, that lasted all of five minutes, they settled into the couch ― it was old but comfortable enough. He had gotten them two sodas from the fridge and made a note to get more later as they were the last two. "Now, do the reenactment of Charlie and Bella." He nodded, his lips pulling into a smile because he thought the voices she used were hilarious.

"Again?"

"Please?" He stuck out his bottom lip and she sighed, rolling her eyes as she took another sip of her coke then she shifted on the couch.

"Fine." She mumbled and he grinned. "I'm fine, dad."  She did her best to mimic Bella, slowing her voice a little. "And dad was all . . ." She thought for a minute, she wasn't exactly sure what he said because she was trying to make her escape. "Don't do that to me again. And you're ground forever or something like that." She dropped her voice a few octaves and Paul laughed leaning back into the cushions. "I don't see how this is that funny." She shrugged but she couldn't stop herself from laughing, his laugh always made her laugh. It was infectious.
