The woman next to me turned up the radio as Shinunoga E-Wa by Fujii Kaze played. I'll give it to her, it was a really catchy song. A bit morbid... but watching her hum the lyrics with a small smile on her face was cute. She hummed the song as she looked at the buildings we passed as we drove to the restaurant.

I smiled to myself as I occasionally glanced at her, pretending I wasn't noticing her hums. She looked stunning in her outfit and her hair flowing freely only added to her beauty. She... I should stop, I just met her. She turned to me with an awkward smile to which I returned with a smile too. "What's wrong?", I pondered. "How far are we? I'm-", the poor woman was interrupted by her stomach growling.

I held back my laugh as I watched her eyes slowly widen and her nose stretch as embarrassment covered her face. "I'm so sorry...", she says just above a whisper. I snicker, "It's okay! We're almost there", I responded while laughing. "Don't laugh at me !", she covered her face as she groaned. I chuckle, "Have you eaten at all today?", I ask the woman. She sighs, "I was too excited for today and forgot to bring a snack, I didn't even have breakfast.". "That's so irresponsible, L/n. You've been awake since what? 7? And you haven't had a single meal? That's horrible for you.", I scold the woman.

She groaned, "I know, I know, but it was also too early for me to have an appetite and I usually always have a snack on me so cut me some slack", the woman giggled. I felt a smile looking for a way onto my face; her laugh was like music to my ears. I suck my teeth as I let my smile cover my face, "Hey, I'm just trying to make sure you're okay.".

I parked my car in the employees section of the lot near my restaurant and turned off the car. "Alright, let's get some food in your system.", I told L/n as she eagerly unbuckled her seat. She jumped out of the car and waited for me to get out before walking over to me.

"Do you have yaki-udon ? I'm really in the mood for that right now.", she smiled as we walked together towards the restaurant. I smiled as I placed my hands in my pocket, "Of course we have yaki-udon, we have all kinds of udon, L/n.". She grinned, "Perfect.", she paused and let out a small snicker, "This is random but, it's taking me a while to get used to being referred to by my last name. Where I'm from, we just use first names, you know?", she commented.

"Ah, I imagine it's going to take some getting used to, it must be very odd for you.", I chuckled. "Yeah, it is. But I know it's custom here so I can't complain.", she smiled. As we reached the door, I opened it for the woman and walked in after her. "Hello, Mr. Geto,", Mika greeted me as soon as we walked in before pausing, "Oh! And you are...". "L/n.", the woman gave Mika a soft smile. Mika smiled back as a wave of embarrassment struck her, "I'm so sorry, I knew your face but I'm not the best with names!", she chuckled.

L/n reassured the young girl and she led the two of us to a table in the center of the restaurant. I pulled out the seat for L/n and pushed it back in after she sat down. "Thank you so much, Geto.", she said warmly as I made my way into my seat. "Of course.". "What are you going to have?", the woman asked me. I pondered, "I think I'm feeling yakitori today.", I settled. "Ooooo, that sounds really good, Geto.", L/n responded as she looked at the drinks menu.

"I think I want some sake.", L/n beamed at the menu like a child with a toy. I chuckled at the sight, "Have you had sake before ?", I asked her. She shook her head no, "Nope, but I would love to try it.", she said. "Okay, so let's start light, I'll get you a bottle of Sayuri Nigori.", I responded to the woman. "That sounds great.", she said before putting down the menu, "Well, I'm ready to order then.".

I looked around and signaled Mika over, "Hey Mika, we're ready. L/n.", I signaled to the woman across the table. She smiled at Mika and gave her the order and I followed suit. "Okay, I'll have that out for you two soon.", Mika said before walking away.
