Rain

chapter 5.

"Rain."

Huh? 

I snap my head up to the couple infront me, only to find their eyes already staring in my direction. Not at me though but at something that had caught their attention behind me. I turn around to find Indi looking down at me with a smile on her face.

"Awes." She greets Sne and Lucas. Before sliding into the bench, right beside me. "Aren't you gonna introduce me?" She asks me when she settles in. Her locs were tied up today, giving me full access to entire face, unlike last time. I notice how sharp her jawline is and the 5 visible piercings on her left ear. She looks effortlessly gorgeous, it almost makes me wanna drool.

A warm hand lands on my thigh, effectively cutting off my creepy, stalkerish behavior. Once again, she put her hand on the inside of my thighs. Her thumb drawing lazy circles on my very sensitive, very bare thigh. I could feel the goosebumps under my skin rising and an uncontrollable blush take over my face.

I should start wearing pants. Sigh.

After finally getting my thoughts under control, "Uh, Sne, Lucas this is Indiphile. Indi, these are my friends, Sne and Lucas."

"It's nice to meet the both of y'all. Why didn't you bring them with you last week?" She slides even closer, enveloping me in her whatever parfum she has on. Her scent is so captivating and distinct, i would probably be able to identify her coming from it alone. I almost feel tempted to sniff her.

I'm not gonna do it girl, i was just about it. Im not gonna do it.

"What thing last week Rain? You didn't tell me you went anywhere last week." Sne (I can not stress this enough) dramatically sighs across the table. "I feel like I don't know you anymore."

"Sne, I didn't even know you 4  days ago when the thing happened."

"I told you to tell me EVERYTHING! What you're saying to me right now, is just a lazy excuse." Again, she sighs.
"We're supposed to be soul sisters. Do you not love me anymore?"

"Yeah Rain, why didn't you tell her?" Indi chimes in from beside me. She has a big teasing smile on her face. "Go on, tell us."

"Sneee, I didn't do it on purpose."  I plead and pout at her. "I'll tell you everything later, I promise. Please don't be mad at me. I'll even buy you ice cream."

"Fine.And you better tell me every single thing or else. Nx!" She finishes, slowly turning to Indi. "What do you need?"

"Well, I was wondering if I could talk to Rain about something real quick. If y'all don't mind."

She squints her eyes, her eyes darting between Indi and I. Lucas leans over and whispers something in her ear, to which they both stand up. "We're gonna let you two talk. Right baby?" Lucas announces. Sne opens her mouth to complain but one look from  Lucas shuts her up. She huffs and garb her bag from the table and storms off.

"Fine, later bitches."

"So, are you gonna look at me or...?" I turn my head to face her smirking face. "You look beautiful by the way."

"Thank you. Uhm, what did you want to talk about?" I ask, closing my lunchboxes. I turn my gaze back down to my fiddling fingers in lap and to her carelessly placed one.

"You're gonna act like Friday didn't happen? Like we didn't almost kiss? Like I dont make you feel some type of way?" She bites her lip at the end, her brows arched and furrowed.

I couldn't lie, she was right. I haven't ever felt a connection with anoyone this fast. Sure, my dating history could be summarize into two lines but she made sense, in the span of the few hours she managed to make me feel like the world around me disappeared. She made me feel alive in my skin and i loved it.

"Come on, come back to me. Talk to me mamas." She squeezes my thighs slightly leans her body into mine.

"Y-you're not wrong." I start off, pasusing to swallow back the nerves,
"I just didn't want to assume it meant much to you, and embarass myself in the process."

"I hear you, and with the possibility i might be making a fool out of myself, I saw you walking in and I knew this was my chance to come over here and clear the air. It meant something to me, and that saying alot because I don't really care for people like that. You make me wanna care for you. Shit like that is rare for me. Do you get what I mean?"

"I get it, I mean yeh, I did feel something with you. What do we do now?" Deciding to be bold, I look her in the eyes. Her warm brown eyes that had me absolutely captivated. Her tongue darts out to lick her lips before a she smirks and whispers in my ear, "You still owe me that kiss."

"Or, hear me out, a good long conversation?" A tiny part of me wanted to do it, but I know better. Why did I have to know better? Sigh. The same feeling I had at her place, the sinking one? Yeh that one, it is still very strong and very present. Its rearing it ugly head into my gut repeatedly like it trying to tell me to run far, far away but it's like the hand on my thigh is super glue, I couldn't possibly get myself up, I don't want to either.

"Hm, that works too mamas. When is your next class?"

"Uhm, I'm done for the day." She looks down at the hand on my thigh, lower  lip tucked into her mouth. Her hand squeezes my thigh gently before she abruptly pulls it away. She stands to her feet, fixing her sweatpants and moves to stand behind her chair.

"Great, come with me. You trust me right?"

No.

"Yes."

I love the cliche Wattpad love stories and i wanted my first book to be an homage to my
favorite Wattpad tropes.
