22- Betrayal

Layla watched as the men stood across each other, Ian's men had been caught off guard.

Alair moved to Layla and pulled off her ropes. She rubbed her sore wrists and wobbled when she stood up. Alair caught her. "Finish up here" he said as he led her away.

"You came" she whispered against his chest as he had her pulled up against his chest so that she didn't have to see the bodies.

"Im sorry I couldn't protect you Layla" he said and Layla shook her head. "I didn't listen to you and got myself caught up in this situation, you saved me" she said as they stepped.out of the metal door.

Alair too her to the car and helped her in qnd then jogged to the other side. He got in and turned to Layla after shutting the door behind him. He cups her bruised cheek and she winces.

"Im so sorry you had to go through all that. I Should've been faster." He said and she shook her head. Her eyes finally welling up from all that.

He pulls her onto his lap and rocks her as she sobs. "Im here, no one is going to get you. Not with me around" he said and she sobbed harder as she held onto him. He rubbed her back and soon she was fast asleep.

He carefully put her back on the seat and put on her seat belt. He pecked her lips and started to drive home.

Lewis paced around the house as he tried to reach Layla but her phone was switched off. Who was she with? An old friend is what she had said, do I know this guy? Lewis wondered.

He sits on the sofa while Knox drank whiskey to try and not think about her with some other man.

There's a knock on the door and Lewis opens the door to find Layla. He smiles but it turns into a glare when Alair helps her inside.

"You asshole who do yo-" "Lewis stop it" Layla said and Lewis looks at them. His eyes widen when he finds her wrapped around Alair's side.

"You" Lewis said to Alair with wide eyes. "Him?" He asked Layla who ignores him and walks to the sofa. Qlair grabs an ice pack for her he knelt down in front of her and presses it against her cheek.

Lewis notices the bruise and completely loses it. "What the HELL HAPPENED TO MY SISTER" he asked and Alair tells him everything. Layla zones out as she thinks of Ian. And ollie, Brian wasnt there so why did she lie.

"Did you kill brian already?" Layla asked the men around her. "Who the hell is that?" One of the men asked. "We havent gotten a prey since week and now you" another man said.

"I have to meet Ollie" Layla said and both of them turn to her, "why?" Alair asked and she doesn't awnser. Instead she stands up and dusts off the non existent dirt.

"I'll take you" Alair said and she nods. "You aren't taking her anywhere." Knox said and Alair raises an eye brow at him. Layla could see the anger in his eyes.

She sighs and rubs her temple. "Knox stay out of it, you are drunk and you don't know anything" Lewis said and Knox glares at him.

He grabs Laylas fore arm and no one saw it coming. Layla grabbed the lamp and smacked him on the head with it. Knox froze and his grip loosened.

"I wad KIDNAPPED AND HIT AN-AND ABUSED, I DONT NEED TO BE AROUND ANOTHER MAN WHO THINKS HE CAN TOUCH ME WITHOUT MY PERMISSION" Layla screamed out and huffed.

She winces as her outburst made her cheek pain hurt worse than before.

"Layla what happened?" Lewis asked and Layla just slowly shifts her top to show her collarbone that had red and blue bruises because of the bites from Ian.
