THE BEGINNING19 months flew by, everything feels the same.
The streets look the same way they did last Summer, cherry blossoms bloom at the same time and the autumn leaves did not forget to fall. The bustling city hasn't changed at all. Except for people, because people change. Her phone rang.
"Yeobusaeyo?"
"Noona I'm waiting outside."
"Aaah!! Chhakhaman, be there in 5."
She hurriedly flung her bag-pack on her shoulder, locked the door and got inside the lift. When she got out, she swiftly ran towards Dong Min's car. The two hadn't met for months, both constrained by work. He'd taken a day off and wanted to spend time with her.
"Dong Min-aaaaaaaahh!" She squealed with open arms.
Dong Min had been waiting for her in front of the vehicle, immediately hugging her when she reached his side.
Smiling with those cute eyes of his, "Me toooo Noona. Have you become thinner?" Scanning her.
"Pfft! As if!" nudging him playfully.
He chuckled and proceeded to open the car door for her.
"No really noona, you've changed a bit."
"I workout y'know," she winked and perked confidently.
After about 2 hours 15 minutes, they reached Sungeut beach. She didn't want anyone to notice Dong Min so she'd chosen a private beach for apparent reasons.
There was no one else around except for an elderly couple a few feet from them.
They listened to songs and played with the sand, updating each other on what they've been upto. Dong Min had already broken up with So-Hyun by then (everyone knew it was long overdue) but he hadn't made any move on August. He respects her too much, especially because he knows she still holds a candle for Wei Long.
He went to buy some snacks and left August alone for some time; the nearest restaurant was a bit far.
She was re-arranging their bags when an envelop and all it's content fell from Dong Min's bag. She picked up what seems to be a new script. She'd been so used to reading his scripts and helping him with his lines, she immediately sat down to read this one too, so engrossed with reading that she didn't even notice Dong Min had returned.
"Noona they didn't have coconut water, I got strawberry instead."
She didn't budge.
"Noona," he lightly brushed her hair.
Looking up at him, "Oh you're back!"
He handed her the juice, "They didn't have coco."
"'Sokay, gomawoe," smiling at him.
"What are you reading?"
"Oh! This fell from your bag. Is it for a new movie?"
When he got closer and saw what was in her hand, he snatched it abruptly.
"Hey! Give it back!"
"I'm not..I'm not doing this one.." stuttering.
She took the script from his hand, he let her.
"Don't be silly. This is the kind of role you've always wanted."
He was quiet.
"Dong Min-ah, are you serious? You're not actually thinking of turning down this role.. are..are you?"
