Shopping montage

I am sitting in the board room bright eyed and bushy tailed. Okay maybe not literally but I do feel fresh and clean. I started off my morning at 5am with stretching and yoga, and then I had a nice breakfast that really didnt follow my morning aesthetic. Yummmm toaster strudel.

I have their starbucks all ready and I even brought in some muffins I baked last night. I felt a little off my game yesterday but I decided that today I will be prepared for whatever they throw at me.

The door opens and its Alexandria

"Good morning Mirabelle"

She warmly smiles at me and grabs her coffee

"Good morning ms. brown"

Nodding my head in respect at her as she sits down. The other three follow suit by grabbing their drinks and taking a seat. Its all of them across from me and Ms. Scarlet at the head of the table.

"Today you and Willow will be going shopping. You are going to be getting a car, new clothes suitable for your position here, laptop and phone so you can do your job to the best of your abilities, and then you will be going to look at a few apartments in the area. Whichever you choose will be furnished."

"Alright, thank you Ms. Scarlet"

I push back my chair and catia sends me a warning glare.

I slowly sit back down and look at quin... I thought she was done talking.

"Mirabelle did you research what I asked you to last night?"

"OH yes. I did."

They all exchange knowing looks

"and? what did you find?"

"uhm not much... just a bunch of dictionary definitions."

"Okay then define it"

Odd but okay

"Submit: subject to a particular process, treatment, or condition. Or the other definititon accept or yield to a superior force or to the authority or will of another person."

She nods her head slowly as is Im not understanding. They are all looking at me like a child. I dont like this.

"Im sorry am I missing something?"

"Its the latter of the two."

"Yeilding to a superior force? Im sorry I will call you all by your last names like requested because thats a respect thing but I think I might have a harder time yeilding  to you...

She nods her head while in thought.

"Yes alright well thats what you overheard. It was what we were talking about. You may not understand it now. Maybe check it out on urban dictionary"

I pull out my phone an quickly look it up. The answer is shocking. 

"oh?"

The definition I found that was dirty... it means giving into someones sexual force but with consent. I honestly dont even know what that means

"oh..."

"so what did you learn here"

catia questions me

"uhhhh check my sources?"

She grits her teeth

"dont eavesdrop."

"Oh yes of course ms mavera. I will be waiting at the elevator."

I make eyes with willow and she nods at me as if saying she will be there in a minute. As I walkout I hear them lowly speak
