The crowd cheered, for these two fighters embodied all four bs - Brawn, brains, beauty, and badass; 'cause nothing says badass like a beautiful woman kicking ass.
Aphrodite, wearing UA, entered the arena.
The women envied her golden-river-like-hair.
The men lusted after her perfect body.
The sky was green with jealousy over her deep blue eyes. And even the clouds failed in comparison with her white milky skin.
In short: Sandro Botticelli did not do her beauty justice.
The other fighter, Ishtar, entered the arena.
She was wearing her armor, made from the black scales of Kur. A lyre bull head was on the left shoulder of the armor. A lion head, from the lion hunt of Ashurbanipal, was visible on her chest.
And her helmet was designed after the Tiamat head from the cylinder seal.
Ishtar took off her helmet, and that was when the crowd gasped in awe.
Her green eyes were greener than emerald. Her hair was redder than fire. And her skin, like a swan feather and perfecter than perfection.
" I thought that you were a goddess of beauty? " said Ishtar.
" I could say the same thing "
" I am also a goddess of war "
" So am I "
" Oh? "
Aphrodite smiled, as she then said:
" Aphrodite Areia "
Ishtar smiled, as she now understood.
Both fighters, both goddesses of war, donned their respective helmets.
And the crowd was in for a treat, as the rumble, figuratively and literally, began.
Both goddesses got ready for their respective finishes.
" Olympus... " said Aphrodite, as she called upon all twelve gods, including Chaos.
" Aštar... " said Ishtar, as hellfire covered the arena.
" Ovid! "
" Annunītum! "
The fists connected, as everyone took cover.
When the dust settled, both war goddesses were smiling, as they had both won - the match was a draw. And the lines to sign autographs were equally long.
