Chapter 4: The Headset

Vanessa was woken up to her 8:30 alarm, she sat up and yawned before rubbing her face "ugh..what a crazy night" she groaned as she recalled the events of her crazy first shift. she slowly got out of bed and made her way to the door, opening it before going into her bathroom. she stood Infront of the mirror and gently took the two plasters off her face, looking over the scars.

she let out a deep sigh before turning away from the mirror and having a long shower, after her shower she got changed into some comfy clothes and went down to her kitchen as she started cooking some bacon for her breakfast, she scrolled through her phone until the bacon was ready and she turned off the stove, and then there was a knock at her door.

"Huh, I wonder who that could be..." she mumbled as she wandered over to her door and opened it, there was stood the postman with a box

"I've got a parcel for Vanessa Riley" he spoke, and she perked up at his words in confusion, she hadn't ordered anything had she? she didn't think she did.

"Yep, that's me" she said, and the postman nodded and handed the package to her before walking away

"Have a good day!" she called after him before shutting her door and setting the package down on her table. she made her sandwich and then ate it before inspecting the package

"I didn't order anything did I? maybe it's from one of my friends..." she grabbed a sharp knife from out of her kitchen drawer and gently stabbed the tape, running the knife across it until the tape came apart. she placed the knife down on the table and opened the box. inside was a brand new, white VR headset. her eyes widened when she spotted a note, she grabbed it and opened it.

it read 'dear vanessa,

we here at the Fazbear entertainment family are so happy that you decided to join us. please accept this VR headset included with a Freddy Fazbear inspired game as a welcoming gift from us to you. we are very excited to have you as part of our family and to see where your Fazbear adventure takes you

Vanessa smiled a little and flipped the box lid upside down as she spotted the bag of Hershey's kisses and gently took it off the lid and placed the bag in her fridge "aw, that's so sweet of them to send me some gifts" she took the headset into her living room and connected it to her Tv before putting it on.

She looked around in the main menu screen with a huge grin on her face "woah, this is insane!" It seemed like all the events in her life that had happened recently had just melted away in an instant. she spent the next two hours playing Fnaf 1 and 2 and screaming and laughing every time she got jump scared. she was on her 5th night on fnaf 2 when she spotted something, a small glitch in the table. she reached out to it and then her screen faded to black, and she was taken back to the main menu screen "what...was that..."

she took off the headset and checked the time "huh, its 12:30 already, I should probably make myself some lunch" she said before placing the headset down on her couch before heading into the kitchen. she searched through her cupboards and fridge before finding a tub of microwavable mac and cheese. she sighed "this'll do for now" she said and took it out of the carboard packaging before microwaving it. she sighed and sat down at the table

"Once I get my first paycheck, I really need to go grocery shopping." she mumbled to herself as she scrolled through her phone, eventually the microwave beeped and she took her food out and started eating whilst looking at reviews for the five nights at Freddy's VR game

"Huh..it doesn't say anything here about glitches in the game..maybe it's just my game..odd" she said as she eventually finished her food and then went back into the living room

She put the headset on again and opened up the game as she wondered what will happen now. She loaded Fnaf 2 and continued with night 5, it was her third attempt and she was looking around and she spotted a tape. She reached out for it and the screen turned black and it came up with a screen 1/16 tapes.

And then she was teleported back to the main menu, she took the headset off and looked around "what the actual hell...?" She said as she turned off the headset and set it down on her couch

She sat down next to the headset and sighed rubbing her face "I'm just gonna watch some tv..and get some of this online training done until dinner..I don't even want to think about what I just saw.."

She sighed and turned the tv on before opening her laptop onto the documents with her paperwork to fill out.
