Encanto The Lost Madrigal

A Tower?..

"Mirabel wake up" Dolores said in a soft whisper as she shook her prima. Mirabel slowly opened her eyes, taking in her surroundings before letting out a low sigh. Mirabel sat up and placed her glasses back on.

"I hear them from that direction,"  Dolores said as she bent down one ear facing south of where the sun shines behind them.

Mirabel did a slight shrug. As the two of them ran farther away from the Encanto and the rest of their family.

"How much do you think the boss would share with us?" A tall man with a deep voice asked his fellow thieves.

One of them, short with brownish hair, spoke up with a shrug. "I don't know but what i do know is i rather take my half now and claim that this is all we were able to steal and if you guys are smart enough you'll do the same"

The shorter man began to pile some gold coins in his pockets, to prove his point. Mirabel and Dolores weren't too far behind them as they hid the bushes. "What now?" Dolores spoke up low enough only mirabel could hear.

Mirabel continued to look around where they were and the thieves saw there was plenty of sunlight but not enough trees for them to hide in.

Mirabel looked back at her cousin with a smirk. "I'll distract them long enough while you take back the crown"

And with that they put their plan into action.

"Hey folks!" Mirabel spoke as she walked closer to the gang of thieves. The thieves looked at her in confusion as they began to bring out their swords.

"What's a nice lady such as yourself doing out here alone in the woods?" One of them asked as his voice was a bit more deeper he came closer up to her.  He drew out his sword as aimed it near her neck.

Mirabel gulped but swallowed it down as she pushed back the sword further away. "I just wanted.. To ask you if you knew a village near here" Mirabel said as she started smiling widely.

The thieves began to slowly surround her but Mirabel didn't care as long as she saw Dolores putting the crown in the backpack she could begin plan B.

"What's behind your back?" The shorter man asked.

"It's nothing important.. Maybe even something useless even" The thieves all started to come closer till Dolores threw a rock at one of the Men in front of her to escape.

"RUN!"

Mirabel pushed back the man and sprinted up towards her cousin. She wasn't really the fast runner in the family but she looked straight without looking back like we were gonna die or something.

-"THERE CATCHING UP?!" Mirabel shouted as she saw them riding there horses behind them. Dolores heard her heart and Mirabel's heart pounding with each second they took.

But still tried her best to remain calm as she heard a waterfall near by,

Dolores quickly dragged Mirabel to the left as they approached it.

"Dolores I hope you got a plan because if we don't survive this I just want to say I'm sorry for being such a horrible cousin. I should have hang out with You and my sisters, More than shutting you guys out" Mirabel started to rambel a bit as she started to nervously play with her fingers.

A habit she picked up from Tia Pepa when she was younger.

Dolores however just remain focus as she pressed her ear closer to the water. "There's a opening here"

Mirabel quickly followed as the two of them hid behind it. The thieves showed up looking around but groaned in frustration as they kept pacing back and forth.

Dolores and Mirabel both slowly took a step back squeezing each other's hand in case they got caught walking deeper into the cave.

Mirabel turned around waiting for them to at least stumble back and hit something but her vision was soon blinded by the light as she had to use one hand to cup her face to get a better view.

"Dolores.. I think I see a way out of here?" Mirabel spoke in a low whisper. Dolores did a slight Hm! Following her carefully out of the cave.

"Why would a tower be in the middle of nowhere?" Dolores asked herself as they approached it.

"I don't know but it's probably best if we hide out there till the thieves leave" Mirabel said as she began climbing. Dolores tighten the book bag around her as she followed her.
