Is That You, Marilyn?

PART 1

Lilly Carter was a faliure, a 21 year old mess. She never bothered taking a shower. Nobody liked her. Most of important of all, she never got the roles she wanted. Today was no different.
Lilly Marie Carter was in her cheap hotel room snacking on chips and watching TV. 3 days earlier,
Lilly auditioned for the role of Catwoman in the new batman movie. After finishing 3 bags of
chips her phone rang, it was from the studio. "Im sorry honey" they said. "You're just too
much of a blonde to be catwoman. But we have another role for you! How would you like to play
Marilyn Monroe in a new film?"

"NEXT!" They called, as Lilly Carter entered the room. "Name and why you're auditioning."
"My name is Lilly Carter and im auditioning because I would love to play the role of Marilyn Monroe"
Inside, Lilly was a nervous wreck.
"Well, you got the Marilyn looks." a guy handed her a script "Now, read some lines.
A few days later Lilly got a callback. She got the part.
Lilly was freaking out. she had never gotten a part before. She didnt know what to do. Should
she decline? she didn't even know that much about Marilyn. She had only seen one film. What sh-
DING DONG
The bell rang.
Lilly walked toward the door and opened it.
There, stood a tall woman. A blonde with smokey eyes, pursed red lips, and a beauty mark above
her lip. She was wearing a white wrap dress beautifully made.

It was Marilyn Monroe.

How could that be Marilyn Monroe? she passed away almost 60 years ago.
she then spoke.
"How do you do?" asked Marilyn as she streched out her hand.
Lilly shaked Marilyn's hand in awe. "How-w-w You-u-u're dead"
Marilyn laughed. "Im not dead, honey" "I've only passed away."
"Wh-y a-re y-you here?" asked Lilly, still terrified.
"Im here to help you with playing me. You are playing me in the motion picture 'Marilyn: In her
own words' right?" Lilly nodded. "Its a bunch of bullshit, honestly. Nothing thats in the film is
true. But I will help you. Now, may I come in?"
