"Casey!" I shouted to my best friend trying to navigate through the crowded hallway.
C: "Hey, Y/n!" he said once he got closer
"Casey are you ready for tonight?"
C: "whats tonight?"
"Did you seriously forget?! tonight is the last night the traveling circus is in town! where gonna go tag it while the workers are at their celebratory dinner remember?"
C: "Oh no! I completely forgot! sorry y/n I made plans with April."
"Cancel them! Casey, we have been planning this for months besides I can't do this without my lookout."
C: "look y/n it's not that simple, I can't go. I really am so sorry. another time?"
"Whatever. but you owe me, BIG time."
C: "Deal!"
A: "Casey! I've been looking everywhere for you! Oh hey Y/n. Casey ready to go?"
C: "Ya! later Brownie!" Casey says as he walks away.

I storm into the front door of my apartment. "Aunt Cas, I'm home!"
Aunt Cassie is a "struggling actor" who works as a para at Jack and Joslynns school so she can pick them up and take them in. She offered to do the same for me but I declined. I always liked walking home. Home. I don't know what home is anymore.
AC: "In the kitchen dear!"
I walk into the kitchen and see Jack and Joss fitting over a cookie.
AC: "Joslynn! Jack! split it in half if you really want it so bad!" Cassie yells, she then turns to me. "Cookie honey?"
I take one with a burnt edge. "Thanks. also Aunt Cas?"
AC: " Yes Dear?"
"aren't cookies supposed to be... well... Circle?
AC: "Sorry about that dear, I'm not the best cook.
"I'm used to it. My mom wa- is the same. she could burn water! my dad did all the cooking"
AC: "Ya, I got my cooking skills from my older sister I'm afraid," she says as she chuckles "can I get you anything else before going to your room sweetie?"
"No, I'm fine. thanks for asking but I have a lot of homework and I better get started before the weekend"
AC: "Ok! have- fun?"

I walked to my room. I have only been here for 4 months but my aunt tried to make it homey. she painted 3 walls and left one open for an "art wall" and then bought me a bunch of spray paint. My cousin and I have been slowly working on it but they are not really artists. I set my bags down and take a bite out of my cookie. I sat down on my bed and scrolled through my picture
