My eyes turned to nothing but fury. "Date?!" I grit my teeth. "I am not going to be dating you. I have a boyfriend, and I am loyal to him. I will not comply to such a thing."

Edward rolled his eyes.. "This is the only way we can escape the media."

"Did you hear the part where I said I had a boyfriend?"

"It's going to be purely fake." He pinched his nose in frustration. "I don't want to be with you either, but there's no other way to this. It's only fake."

I sighed in anger. "Is there any other way we can get rid of the media?"

"For now, this is the only way." He huffed. "Stop being so pushy, it's only an act."

"An act?!" I yelled. "I have a boyfriend, a life, a job- Nevermind, I have so many things behind my track!! What makes you think I'll just 'fake date' you?"

Edward just ignored me, walking outside the hospital room. If I could walk, I would have made sure to give him the pain he deserves.

I sat up in my bed. I understood the severity of our actions. His actions, actually. If I were left hurt in the alleyway, I know I could have found a way to recover. At the least, it could be better than whatever this mess I am put in.

Then again, I wondered; Why did he save me?

All I am to him is his ex-wife. That one bitch who was just the worst that he had to choose someone like Stella.

Ugh, thinking about her gives me a headache. But yes, I did wonder. There's no way he actually cares about me anymore. If he did, why is he making me suffer once again?

I rolled my eyes in frustration. A lot of my life was crumbling, and I wonder how I could put everything up again.

I put my hands into my hair and crouched on my bed. Edward gave me a weird look and ignored me by reading the newspaper.

That's when I forgot.

Connor.

Man, in all this, I forgot about my own boyfriend?! I'm such a terrible lover. I looked for the nearest phone, which was a telephone placed next to the hospital bed. I reached to it and dialed his number, the digits making clicking sounds under my fingertips.

Edward tsked loudly and got up from his seat to walk out of the room. What a gentleman.

As I did so, the soft ringing sound played in my ears. I waited for a while as it picked up. "Hey Connor. This is Blake."

There was a pause for a while before I heard his voice. "Blake, where are you? Are you okay?"

I smiled at his concern. I was truly lucky to have him. "I'm good, I.. I'm in a bit of a mess right now. I got hurt... In the restaurant date we had." I tried to not mention that it was him who hurt me. "And now.. Um.. Edward Stone, y'know, my ex.. He found me and took me to the hospital."

I didn't hear a word from him, only silence. I waited for a bit for a response, but all I heard was a, "Anything else?"

I frowned. "Um.. Nothing else." I spoke. It's better I do not bring up the topic of us fake dating. I might discuss about it with him once the time's right.

Yet again, there was a huge pause as I tapped my fingers lightly. Why wasn't he responding?

"Okay, bye." He said quickly, and immediately ended the call. I placed the telephone back at the dial area, confused at what just happened.

I hope everything's alright with him. I have enough on my hands already. What with this leg tear, being fired, the media, and the rent-

Oh wait. I completely forgot about the rent!!
