PREPARING
Seoul South Korea - Gangi High school
Wednesday - 7 : 00

Maya's POV :

Stepping on the school grounds, unlike any other day, today I'm greeted by Jung-ji. I watch as she skips her way to me, with a smile on her face. She's such a bubbly person.

"Morning Maya~" she greets, hooking her arm with mine. "Morning Jung-ji". We make our way to the entrance of the building. I feel eyes on me watching us walk in the school. I mean it's weird the quiet introvert is walking arm in arm with one of theost popular girls in school.

"So Maya, what did your mom say about the cupcakes?" she suddenly asks. Jung-ji gave everyone something they need to bake or bring for the cake sale we planning for the event. I got cupcakes.

"Oh, she said we could make about 300 cupcakes.. If that's ok?"

She nods "yes of course that's fine, MI-Rae is probably going to make 300 more, so it'll be more than enough" nodding, we make our way to our homeroom class.

When I came home that day, my mother was surprised I told her I was in a friend group planning things for the event. I'm sure I saw some tears in her eyes as I told her. Her reaction was rather overly excited.

Flashback - yesterday

Making my way back home, I see my mother's car in the drive way indicating she's home already. She usually works till 8, I wonder why she's back early.

Unlocking the door, I walk in, taking off my shoes placing them on the shoe rack.

"Eoma I'm home!" I yell, making my way to the kitchen. I see her cooking something at the stove, humming to herself. She looks at me, and smiles.

"Oh Maya, how was school?"

".. I made some friends today" I mumble, sitting at the counter. She turns off the stove "what!? Really!?" she smiles, making her way in front of me. I whine abit because of her sudden high pitch screaming. "Yes Eoma, it's because we having an event soon at the school, I was placed in a group.. So I made some friends.. I guess" I say playing with my fingers.

"aw my daughter made friends! How exciting!" her smiles widens. "it's been so long since I've heard you talk about the word 'friends'. I'm so glad you made friends hun" she cups my cheek.

I give a small smile. Like I said, I haven't had friends in a while. So having actually friends in high school is new for me. "for the event, I have to make cupcakes for the cake sale out group is going to have.." I say looking at her. She sits next to me "Mhmmm, I could make some, how much do you need?"

"umm.. Probably about.. 300?" I say hesitating abit. Will she even make 300 cupcakes? That's way too much right?

"Oh how exciting~ so what flavor?" she asks.

"wait.. So is that a yes? You're going to make the cupcakes?" I ask, turning my whole body to her.

"WE making the cupcakes, and yes of course, you wouldn't want to let your friends down" she giggles abit with a smile.

I can tell she's really excited about this. She must be happy I finally made friends. I wonder how she'll react if I told her about Hwe-Seung..

"yes of course not" I smile.
