The Email

You sighed heavily, dropping face down on the couch of your apartment.

"Nothing yet?" Mina, your roommate and best friend asked as she sat beside you.

You replied with a groan and soon felt her ruffle your (h/c) hair with her palms.

"There there" she cooed and you pulled yourself up, you sat with your legs crossed over each other, then you threw your head back against the couch.

"I sent my form to so many fashion houses, it's already been a month now and zilch."

You said in sad tone and Mina looked at you with sympathy, she took your hands in hers and rubbed them soothingly, It made you look at her and she smiled at you warmly, dark eyes twinkling.

"I'm sure you'll hear from them soon, they'll be stupid not to accept you"

She said and you looked at her with nothing but gratitude, you didn't know what you did in your past life to get a friend like her. You were so lucky to have her in your life.

Without warning you pulled Mina into a hug, catching her off guard as you nuzzled into her soft jet black hair.

"Y/n?" She exclaimed but you didn't let go, you wanted to relish in this comforting hold.

Ding!.

It was your phone and both your gazes flickered to it on the round table in the living room.

You groaned at the interruption while Mina giggled at your reaction, finally you realeased your hold on her and checked your phone.

It was a message to your email and your eyes widened as you read the message.

"Kyaaaaaaaaa!"

You jumped on Mina, and you both fell off the couch with a thud.

"Y/n!," Mina exclaimed as her back hit the floor but you didn't seem to be in pain as you helped her up. She now notices the excitement in your eyes.
Your lips were pressed into a closed smile as you tried so hard not to squeal again.

"Spill it" she says and you shove your phone in her face, Mina squints her eyes at what you were trying to show her and then her eyes widened as well.

You both shared a knowing look, bubbling in happiness.

"Kyaaaaaaaaa!"

You both jumped up and about together in nothing but joy.

You couldn't stop staring at your phone, Mina was peacefully sleeping in her side of the room while you stayed awake. Reading the email you got over and over again.

Finally. You thought.

You finally got a chance to experience your dream job and at the best place possible. Being a fashion designer had always been your dream, since the moment your mother thought you how to hold a needle and thread.

You sighed happily and pulled your bed cover over yourself.
Drifting off to sleep you wondered how your work place would be like, you wondered how the people there were. You just couldn't wait for tommorow to come. You slept with a small smile on your lips, grateful to God for the opportunity.

But little did you know, how that single email would change your life forever........
