The lobby was silent, and as Levi's eyes studied everyone's expressions, you held your breath and chewed on the inside of your cheeks as his gaze finally locks on you.

Feeling self conscious about how you looked, you couldn't maintain eye contact and you lower your eyes to the floor, suddenly taking interest in your shoes.

"There was a little accident during the shoot" Hange steps forward to explain. "Y/n drowned at sea--" for a brief moment Hange tries hard not to grin at the quick flash of emotion that just overtook Levi's features. "-- but thankfully, Eren saved her just in time and Moblit helped her regain consciousness.

Levi's brows tug together, his gaze flickering to you, you were still staring intently at your feet, your hands fiddling with the blanket around you. So you didn't see his worried expression.

"Other than that, everything went splendid!" Hange's serious aura dissipated as she grins, clapping her hands together.

"We'll go set everything back" Armin speaks up, he gives your shoulder a reassuring squeeze before he ushers everyone down the hall.

"You just rest up Y/n" Mikasa tells you and you smile weakly at her, nodding in response. The rest wave you good bye and as you're finally left alone you heavily feel the stare of the person before you.

"I'll go make you some tea okay?" Petra offers with a suggestive tone and you hum in response.

"I'll like that, thank you Petra"

"Anytime sweetheart" she winks, causing you to chuckle lightly.

Once Petra left it was just you, Hange and him.

You find the courage to peek up at him, he was conversing with Hange. Hange eyes twinkled with amusement as she whispers something in his ears and he hisses.

Brushing him off she walks towards you, "you can take a day off tomorrow sweetheart." She tells you and you feel the need to decline, you didn't want to be away from work, not wanting to miss a single thing, you also didn't want to alone in your house, left in your dark thoughts. Hange seems to notice your internal struggle and she smiles warmly, taking your hands in hers. The gesture was startling but soothing, just what you needed.

"It's just one day Y/n" she says softly and you bite down on your lower lip anxiously.

"But--"

"No exceptions!" She shouts, grinning up at you. "So I'll see you a day after, cool?" She didn't even wait for a reply before pulling you into a quick hug. "Great then, I'll leave you to it, after you have your tea I'll have Moblit take you back home."

"Thank you" you tell her, meaning it from the depths of your heart.

Hange's eyes soften at your remark and she pats your head lovingly before turning back to Levi.

"I'll be in your office~" she sings, brushing past him. "Take your tiiimmmee~"

You blush hard at her insinuation, something about her teasing tone to him made your cheeks heat up for some reason. You were still in your beach clothes and even if your body was covered up with the blanket, you couldn't help but feel flustered.

Then when you felt like the silence would drag on forever you hear him speak.

"Are...are you alright?"

Startled, you finally look up and you're stunned, Levi stood before you, his eyes holding a strange warmth you've never seen before and it was enough to make your heart race.

This man that exudes confidence in everything he did just faltered in his words while addressing you, stylishly avoiding your gaze as he
tucks his hands in his pockets, his dark hair was slightly disheveled, as if he'd ran his hands through them a number of times.
