[Rachel's POV]

Water started dripping down from the sky. I often taught it was as if the clouds were feeling under the weather when it rains. Able to detect whether we, humans were either having a great or a dreadful day. I erased that taught, brought out an umbrella my grandpa offered me for Christmas last year, and continued walking back home from another fatiguing day at school.

I adore walking alone. I'm quite talkative sometimes though. But I hated my voice for sounding like I was on a sugar high. My Biology teacher, Mrs. Conner would ask me to shut my damn mouth for speaking so loud. Due to that, I tried my best to keep my mouth sealed.

As I was walking, thinking about which subject to work on once I arrived home, a black Mercedes car was heading straight at me. I wasn't realising at first cause my mind was so caught up with random thoughts. As the car drove towards me, it stopped. A woman with a spy-like costume and a man with an oversized dark blue T-shirt printed a picture of a black hole came at me.

"They didn't seem like bad guys", my inner voice spoke.

They went towards me and spilled a word that almost ripped off my soul.

"Hello. We're scientists from the Black Hole Labs" spoked that spy lady while showing me her ID card. The man in the oversized shirt did the same.

"Well that explains the T-shirt," says my inner voice.

"Oh uh hello. What can I do for you?" I asked hesitantly.

"We received a message from the head scientist at our lab, Professor Ruby Edwards that you were her rarest specimen. She told us that she had lost you 10 years ago. Could you kindly get in the car since we had already found her precious precision? We'll be leading you to the lab right now".

"Huh? rare condition? lab?" I asked, confused.

The word that made my heart sink was... specimen.

"I would like to see the proof towards this issue. And you have no idea who I am. I'm just an ordinary village girl who grew up with cows and goats on the streets. I'm no Wonder Woman or Captain Marvel. I can't follow you unless you have permission either from my relatives or my parents". I spoke, still asking myself how I'm having the courage to speak in this very odd moment I'm facing.

"I'm asking you once again. Kindly get in the car or you'll face the consequences", repeated that woman. Her peachy skin didn't really stand out to her dull-looking face.

Hearing her words felt like hot water splashed right on my face with fear and terror mixed in it.

"What? I'm sorry but I have to get going now. It's 6.30 pm and my mum would get worried sick if I'm not at home but 6. Goodbye, and I hope you'll find this "rare" specimen of yours". I spoke and walked away rapidly, begging my feet to cope with me.

Just before I put my right leg forward, that man with the oversized T-shirt grabbed me firmly. I shouted as loud as I could, praying someone would be there to save me from these geeks. The man swore and cupped his 8-inch hand right at my mouth to prevent me from screaming. Then he said,

"Well little girl, we just wanted you to follow us to a lab. A god damn laboratory. Does it seem too hard to follow? Is a laboratory defined as hell in your dictionary?"

I ignored him. Tears started forming through my eyelids.

"What is it about me that they called me a "rare specimen"? I asked myself.

"Ugh! His hands are too big. What should I do?"

"Okay calm down, Rachel. Let's try to bite his hand. Come on..."

The moment I tried opening my mouth, I felt a quick sting on my neck. It felt like a shot. A dose of fluid was injected right through my neck.

"ARGHHHHHHH"

"No..."

My head felt like it was running a marathon. My eyes shut as I dozed off onto that man's muscular arm. From that day onwards, my entire life turned upside down.

The 3 main things that await me are lies, vile, and predicament.
