Pain that never goes away

It was the last class of the day and class 1-A was taken to one of the indoor training areas. Everyone was confused and wondered why they are at the training area as today wasn't hero training. After 5 minutes, all the teachers from the hero course came out along with principal Nezu, recovery girl, and detective Tsukauchi.

"Good evening class!" Nezu greeted before adding "today you will all be taking on a morality test using your memories". This shocked everyone in class 1-A but horrified Izuku as he was shaking rapidly.

This caught the teachers attention and got them more concerned, Nezu continued to explain how everything was going to work. "13 will first take a glimpse from your past and recreate that day if there are more, then the simulation will extend, then each of you will go through that memory as we examine what morals you have. the simulation will create challenge sequences out of your memories so we can judge properly, we will also do a fail verification simulation showing what would happen if you fail in the simulation".

That was all Nezu said before the class started talking about who would go first and it was no surprise to see who until he said, "Izuku, you will be the first to go". This made Izuku even more horrified as he tried to resist, however, all efforts were dashed as he was pushed forward by Bakugo knowing that it would just take longer to do so or the teachers would just drag him.

With that Izuku walked towards the middle of the room, everyone else went upstairs and left the main floor. 13 touched Izuku and the simulation began. At first their was a duplicate version of Izuku that confused everyone at first until they saw someone running up to his clone and took a big bite into his left shoulder as the clone stagger to not fall down. The bite was so hard that it made the clone scream in pain with blood coming out of the bite as the 'infected' person pulled off a chunk of flesh from it.

Failing the simulation resulted in death and this only prepared Izuku and unprepared everyone else for what was to come.

IZUKU's POV

As the Simulation began, I was dreading which memory was picked. I was hoping it would be one of the pre-outbreak memories but they were soon dashed as the memory was back at my 5th birthday, the day the outbreak happened.

At first, I was outside everything was peaceful and quiet, that memory was short-lived as I then heard the explosion. As I looked around me I found my past memory of my past family and saw my mom. As I said "Mom?", I then turn to look at where they were looking, I could see the mushroom cloud just as I remembered.

I then saw my family disappear from my sights and began hearing my fathers voice saying "Ok, listen up, once I open the door we all have to run, we can not stop. Izuku, make sure you hold on to mom's hand ok. DO NOT LET GO. Everyone set?".

That's when I realized what was going to happen. I then turn around and saw someone getting tackled and had their throat ripped out of them, just as I watched the first murders of the nightmare taking place hearing "Alright then, now. 3.......2.......1....... RUN!!!!!".

With that, my family reappear from the house as I remembered them running out of the house and away from the explosion.

Then the first challenge sequence started, I started running and avoiding disaster at every corner. I completely forgot about the simulation and started parkouring to avoid explosions, debris and the infected that were flung at me. As if things couldn't get any worse I started seeing blurs of infected killing men, women, and children without discriminating against one another, it was hard to forget those screams that day, and reliving them didn't help.
