My eyes started to flutter open as I felt the plane getting closer to the ground. How I slept for so long I have no idea. Must be the nerves. I sighed as I look out the window.
Home Sweet Home. I wouldn't say I have missed it because I haven't been gone long at all.
"Ladies and Genlemen, we have arrived in Nottinghamshire. Thank you for flying with us"
I waited until the last person was out of the plane before I got up from my seat. I didn't have to rush because Mum would only be here in a hour as she couldn't get off work.
I sit on my suitcase outside the ariport. I see the car approaching and I know I'm in for a lot of hugging and affection.
"Darling! It's so good to see you!" My mum said as she ran to greet me.
"I have only been gone for 2 weeks Mum." I said to her, standing up.
"I know but you are my baby girl and you being away from home is something I do not like" She said, holding out her arms to hug me.
Oh dear. This makes it even harder for me to tell her I want to go back and stay with the boys. I just hope this doesn't end up in a fight.
"Well give me some details darling. How was it?" She asked as she grabbed one of my bags and lead me to the car.
"It was really amazing mum. I couldn't have been happier to see Jay. He is doing really well. Oh and the boys! What a great bunch I love them already. London! Don't even get me started. I'm in love with London Mum. It's so beautiful." I said, smiling as I remembered the boys and the city.
"I'm so glad you enjoyed yourself. Maybe you and I can go back there togther. I really want to see Jay. Oh and speaking of he tells me you have a boyfriend now? Little bit quick isn't it darling?" She looked at with her eyebrows up.
"No. It isn't Mum. Nathan is really amazing and I'm so happy when I'm with him. I'm not saying I love him Mum but all relationships have to start somewhere." I explained even though in the back of my mind I was also thinking it's a little quick but I really liked Nathan.
"I'm happy for you sweetheart but he does stay all the way in London. Could be a difficult relationship." She said, getting in the car.
"Yeah about that, there is something I need to talk to you about" I said, getting in the car after her.
"Another time dear, let's just get you home, fed and rested" She said as she started the car and drove us home.
This is going to be difficult.
"Home sweet home. I'll help you with your bags." She said as she parked in the driveway and got out to grab my bags.
"Thank you"
"All unpacked then darling?" My mum asked as she poked her head into my room.
"I need to ask you something Mum" I said, not answering the question.
"First dinner. Eat" She said, putting some of her home made lasagna in front of me, I dug in immediately. It was my favourite.
Maybe I should leave the going back to London talk for tomorrow.
"I'm off to bed mum" I said later on when I had finished my lasagna.
"Night sweetie. Glad to have you back" She said, looking up and smiling at me from reading her magazine.
*Saturday*
"Morning Mum" I said in a sleepy voice as I made my way into the kitchen.
