"Are you ready Jess?" I wasn't really focusing on whatever and whoever was speaking. It had been a hectic few weeks and I all I wanted to do was sleep. The boys always got up so early to do the things that they needed to do and then had late nights and I was dragged along with them. I've been so tired I barely remember what happened this past week.
I opened one of my eyes to see Jay standing over me. I closed my eye and pulled the pillow over my head. He sighed and took the pillow away.
"Go away Jay"
"I can't go away Jess, we have a flight to catch" I opened both my eyes and sat up.
"What flight?" I asked him shocked. I don't remember anything about any flight.
"Jess I told you! Mum wanted all of us to come see her so we're all flying there today for a few days. Jess are you even packed?? We have to go!"
"Jay I don't remember anything about a flight or going to see Mum. Not that I'm not happy about that but I'm so tired I can't think straight"
"Well you can sleep on the plane because we have to leave now Jess"
Jay left me to get ready. He told me I had 30 minutes and then we really had to go. I'm excited to see my mum, it's been weeks and I'm excited for her to meet the rest of the boys. I stil have this stupid cast on my leg though. I don't need the crutches anymore, it's been easier to walk now but I still have to have this cast on for another 2 weeks. I basically sleep walked to the car where I lay in Nathan's arms for the ride to the airport.
"Jess? You awake?" My eyes were close but I was awake. I was saving the rest of my sleep for the plane ride.
"Yes Nath" The airport was a little bit busy and we still had an hour before we could get on the plane. We sat down on uncomfortable metal chairs and waited.
"Flight 34C is now bording. Please make your way to gate D"
Another half and hour later the plane finally. I sat by the window with Nathan next to me. As soon as we were in the air I leaned over so that I could rest my head on Nathan's shoulder. He took my hand and laced his fingers through mine.
"You excited to see your mum Jess?" He asked me while squeezing my hand.
"Ofcourse. I've missed her loads even though it hasn't been that long. I'm also excited for her to meet you. I know she'll like you as much as I do" I looked up at him to see him smiling at me. He kissed the top of my head and I rested my head on his shoulder again.
The flight was painless considering I slept through most of it. There was a car waiting for us at the airport. The closer we got, the happier I felt to see my mum. We had talked almost everyday but she is my mum afterall so I miss her loads. As we pulled up at the driveway, my mum was standing outside waiting for us with a huge smile on her face. Jay was on the edge so he got out first and my mum basically ran to say hello to him. She looked so happy.
We all got out the car and her smile got bigger.
"My babies are home" One tear escaped her eye before Jay and I engulfed her in a hug. The rest of the boys joined in a little while later.
"Uh guys, can't breathe" I let out a sigh when they all let go and I could breathe again. Jay introduced the boys to mum and we all went inside. I could smell the delicious smell of my mum's cooking for a mile away. One of the things I've missed the most. The boys don't cook much and neither do I.
We all sat at the table ready to dig in. Nathan sat next to me and gave me a loving look. I smiled at him and blushed.
"Well well, what's this?"
"I told you about Nathan mum"
"Ooh yes ofcourse, been forgetting things lately. Wel I'm glad she finally found someone who's actually good for her"
I rolled my eyes and her. We all ate, talked and laughed. I knew my mum liked the boys immediately, just as I did. She kept looking over at Nathan and I but I knew she liked Nathan so I wasn't worried. Things calmed down a bit later when we sat around the fire and just relaxed. Max and Siva were in the guest room, Jay and Tom in Jay's room and surprisingly Nathan and me in my room. We were leaving in 2 days but spending a little time with my mum is better than no time at all.
I stayed up a little while to talk with my mum. I had enough sleep on the plane.
"Here you go sweety" I smiled at her as she handed me a cup of tea and sat down next to me at the kitchen counter with her own cuppa.
"Thanx"
"So good seeing you and Jay again. Been a while since I've had both of you here again. And the Tom, Siva, Max and Nathan they're all so lovely! They could stay here forever if they like"
We both laughed together. "Glad to hear it mum"
"And Nathan. Such a lovely chap. You really like him?"
"I really do mum" I said before taking a sip of my tea.
"I can tell. I can also tell that he likes you a lot too. I trust he'll be good for you Jess"
"I'm sure he will mum. I really like him and it's been great these past weeks"
"I see you still have the cast on your leg" She said as she looked down to my leg.
"Yeah. But 2 weeks and it's off. Like nothing happened" I took another sip of my tea and looked down. I don't want to remember that night or even that whole day. The sooner this stupid thing is off the better.
"But something did happen sweety. Exactly why I didn't want you going to London in the first place!"
"I know mum, but it was an accident. Nothing we can do about it now because it's over and you know how much I'm loving being in London" She smiled at me and put her cuppa down to give me a hug.
"I know Jess. I'm glad you're ok. Now go to bed sweety, you look exhausted"
"Been busy. Night mum" I hugged her and went up to my room. I got into bed and Nathan put his arms around me and I squeezed gently..
"My mum really likes you" He let out a sigh and moved a little closer to me.
"Thank goodness. I was a bit nervous I'll admit"
"You had nothing to nervous about Nath, I knew she would. How could she not?"
He planted a soft kiss on my shoulder.
