THE CITIZENS OF DWARAKAstood still half confused, half perplexed and half surprised at the sudden change in weather. Everyone from the children to men and women, hawkers, and even the patrolling guards witnessed the strangest sight which was never seen before. It was snowing in Dwaraka and this was a matter of confusion and maybe even worry for some. Dwaraka was the floating island city of the Vrishnis Yadavas located on the Arabian Sea. Being a literal island and located on sea the weather was bound to be humid and hot but airy thanks to the well ventilated homes and streets.
So when people stepped out of their house expecting a bright sunny day with ample day time to complete all their works they were in for a shock. The whole street, the pavements, the drainages the roofs, the trees were all covered with a thick layer of snow. The normally humid warm air was now chilly, there was no chirping of birds but rather screaming children hurling balls of snow at each other while the mother screamed behind them shoving them into the house. "Good Lord! What is happening in our kingdom? Its snowing" exclaimed one man to his neighbour, nodded the other man said, "You are right brother, what is suddenly happening. Seems like magic." Another said, "Maybe it is some kind of magic. How ever can it snow? Is this some kind of sign from the above?"
Before anyone could ponder over further the winds grew stroger and withing minutes the snowy winds covered the sun rays making it dim. "As the safety of our citizens is our first priority, by the power vested in me, I, chief patrolling head Rajeshvar hereby request you all to return to your houses at once! The Raj Parivar and Dwarakadheesh will be infromed of this and soon you will be notified. " echoed the voice of the chief guard while the other patrolling guards spread across ushering people away.
She tugged her red mud caked cloak closer to her shivering slightly. Gripping the bamboo basket in her hands she turned around trudging through the thick layer of snow, ocassionaly scowling at the wetness of her socks. There wasn't anyone in this world who did not hate wet socks and she was one of them. She was accostumed to strange things happening to her and around her despite the fact that it has been a mere two days since her landing in Dwapara but this was on a whole another level - It was Snowing. If yesterday had been the most peaceful day today was definantly going to be day of disaster. Something was probably going to happen and what? She had no idea.
