[SCENE 30 - MAHENDRAGIRI ASHRAMA, KAMAAKSHI'S ROOM - MIDNIGHT]

Kamaashi sat on the window sill, her elbows digging into the ledge. Her room was cloaked in darkness as she had blown out all the diyas; "what is the use of remaining in a lit room when your whole life was been concealed in darkness.". A scowl painted itself onto her face even thinking about the fatiguing conversation. Swallowing the lump which had been clogging up her throat she leaned her head onto her folded arms, her mouth felt incredibly dry. She wanted to reach out for the pitcher of water but the dams broke. Tears spilt from her eyes as she cried into her arms, the moon's rays cloaking her pitiful state. Her fingers worked on her cheeks wiping away the tears but they kept flowing incessantly. The dreaded night passed away incredibly slowly while the dark haired girl spent it crying. 

As the second hour of the night commenced, the moon shyed away behind the clouds. Maybe the diamond of the sky wasn't able to bare to see the young girl crying so bitterly. The stars too joined in the pensive sadness twinkling sadly. The crying girl lay sprawled on the window sill, mildly dozing. The winds blowed softly kissing her wet cheeks, while her sprawled hair danced melancholically in rhythm. The atmosphere's peace was broken by a soft tapping on the door. The dozing girl stirred; knock, knock, Kamaaskshi shot up confused at her state. The door was knocked  with much force. Puzzeled at the knock she strode over and opened it, She was extremly surprised to see the person.

KAMAA

"Dhatri! What are you doing at this time of the night."

DHATRI

"First let me in will you?"

KAMAA

"Come, along. Let me light the diyas."

KAMAA

"What is it that has brought you here?"

DHATRI

"Did you really forget?"

KAMAA

"What do you mean."

DHATRI

"Tch! Run your memory and then talk to me. Can't believe you! I come here risking my life and you forget the reason."
