I thought I was falling in love with you, but really, I had fallen in love with the English Garden Dream I wished to have with the love of my life.

I got a taste of what was in store and I didn't want to let you go.
I didn't want to believe you weren't the one.
So first, I needed to come to terms with the fact that this wouldn't have worked out, then I had to realize that maybe not everything was working as well as I thought; maybe my own feelings weren't what I thought.

When the veil was lifted and all the fog had cleared, then, and only then, could I see that I had only fallen in love with the English Garden.

When I met you, I didn't see this coming.
All I knew was that you had just become so special to me, that if I were to lose you I couldn't imagine how I would ever recover.

But, maybe that's the silver lining.
God was not the one who put me through this pain, but He is the one who shows me continually that with Him I will always recover. He shows me how strong I am and that I can weather any storm, no matter how big it may feel.

I couldn't imagine how I would recover from this, but I did.
God is a God of victory, hallelujah!
