Level-2 Sacrifice

When they opened their eyes, they were all standing together in the middle of a big room.

There was only one door in the room, but not even anyother opening or even a window.

The only way out was through the
door.

Ashwin said "oh I thought we would have separate tasks again"

Kiran asked "for what? to see the girl again?"

Aravind said "sorry to disappoint you ashwin but I think we have to do this together.

Akshay said "anyway I don't want to jump off a plane again"

Aravind grieved "oh you just jumped, that only takes a second of courage. But I had to dig a knife into a human body"

Akshay said "Ok man cool, you never lose your patience. What happened?"

Aravind said "I don't know I just cannot come over the death of lolesh"

Ashwin said "don't worry man, it's not like real death. The spirit assured that he would respawn when we finish the game"

Aravind said "oh you think so, that's only possible if we win the game"
Aravind had tears in his eyes.

Akshay replied "oh you think about lokesh, atleast we have a chance to bring back lokesh but did you think about oli. Akshay had tears in his eyes

"He sacrificed himself to save my life. Don't you think I have the grief" akshay rubbed the tears in his cheeks.

Aravind couldn't reply to that.

All these time yuvaraj kept his mouth shut. Everyone knew that he was thinking about something but they couldn't ask what he was thinking.

Akshai continued "now that's not the point Aravind. Our first priority should be to save our own lives"

Kiran asked "how do we finish this stage. Do we just have to sit and chat around the table?"

When kiran turned to his right "boom" a little boy shouted in his ears.

Kiran screamed "whooaoaooa f**k"

The boy had an innocent face. At first everyone backed up cuz he was floating in the air.

Kiran shouted "don't ever do that again"

Ashwin asked "who are you?"

The boy replied "oh don't worry. I'm just an in-game character, more like an illusion"

Aravind asked "why are you here?"

The boy replied "I'm here to guide you all in this level"

Yuvaraj asked "so you're here to help us finish this stage?"

The boy said "not really, I'll just guide you how to play"

Aravind asked "can we ask you more questions or do we have just one chance per head?"

The boy laughed "so you've clearly met my master"

Akshay said "what that dark spirit from the book is your master?"

The boy said "yes I serve him"

Ashwin asked "do you know anything about your master?"

The boy replied "yes I know him very well but I can't share that information with you"

Ashwin asked "why?'

He said "like I said, I'm just an in-game character. I have a set of restrictions which include enclosing my master's details"

Yuvaraj said "why do you care so much. By this time he'll be sleeping inside that stupid book"

The boy laughed "for your kind information he'll know everything you speak"

Yuvaraj asked "how?"

He said "by this time, the smartest of you would have found the answer"

Aravind squeeked "whoa shit I thought he teleported us elsewhere but he just teleported us inside his book"

The boy said "yeah that's correct. you're inside a mystical world created by a superior creature himself"

Kiran asked "so your master is the superior creature?"

The boy said "no the creature's power is far more powerful than my master"

Aravind asked "so your....."

The boy stopped him "enough I've already given enough information. Now we'll discuss about the task"

Ashwin asked "so what's the task?"

The boy said "first you have to sit around the table"

There were exactly five chairs around the table.

When the boys went and occupied the chairs, the boy continued "this is the stage in which you leave one of your friends behind"

Aravind asked "what?"

He said "yes one of you have to lose the game willingly or unwillingly"

They were all shocked because they thought of finishing the game together.

Then the boy showed the 5 minutes count which was digitally displayed on the only door in the room.

When the count started, they didn't have any idea. For the first two minutes, they didn't talk anything cuz no one would be ready to sacrifice themselves in a game.

When the count came to 2.30 minutes
Yuvaraj asked "does anyone volunteer?"

Nobody gave any reply. Then the count came to 2 minutes.

Yuvaraj said "so we have no other choice, we decide this with vote count"

Ashwin hesitated "how would that be fair, we cannot stay behind and risk our lives on other's opinion"

Akshay asked to yuvaraj "will you stay behind if you get the highest vote count?"

Yuvaraj didn't give any reply to that .

The boy reminded them "you've got only 1 minute left"

The door started to glow brighter.

Yuvaraj urged them "come on guys, don't you care about your lives. I don't want to die in this stupid game"

At a certain moment, Aravind offered to stay behind but the others hesitated cuz they would need him in the upcoming stages for his sudden thinking capacity.

The boy said "30 seconds more"

But the others decided that they wouldn't take a step ahead leaving one behind. They decided to stay together and hope their best.

Yuvaraj shouted "what the f**k have you all lost your mind. Aravind is willingly to stay behind. Come on let's go"

Ashwin said "no man we've decided. You can leave through the door if you want"

When the count came to 10 seconds,
Yuvaraj shouted "you'll all stay here and die. Good bye"

Yuvaraj reached the door without any hesitation. He opened the door and was teleported.

The count finished. Aravind said to the others "you all should have went"

Suddenly the boy started laughing "hahaha your friend have just fallen into the trap perfectly"

They didn't understand anything but they were all teleported back to the cave.

The spirit came out from the book.

Ashwin shouted "what happened to yuvaraj?"

The spirit replied "he's been eliminated from the game"

Aravind asked "why?"

He said "this stage was to check your friendship and loyalty. But your friend yuvaraj was selfish. He just wanted to save his own life"

They wanted to argue but they understood the truth.

The spirit continued "so you must be so tired completing two stages. I grant you 30 minutes break. Take rest and be ready to face the next stage"
