"I am not wearing this." I stated, no room for argument in my voice. Sophie glared and put her hands on her hips.

"Yes you are, because I am not letting you wear that stupid Harry Potter, sweater contraption thing to this party." I groaned and dared to look at myself in the mirror again.

Sophie had lended me one of her outfits for the party that night, and it was far too beautiful for someone like me to wear. The outfit consisted of an off white long sleeve sweater shirt. A high rise red skirt that flared mid thigh. Winter black tights with black heels and a black peacoat. Then a black necklace that hung sweetly around my neck.

"Its too much." I said denying the outfit once again.

"Its just right, now come on, we still have to do your hair and makeup." With another groan Sophie dragged me into the bathroom. She styled my hair in loose curls and put a string of eyeliner above my eyes. I usually only ever wore mascara and lipgloss, so the black eyeliner was giving me a whole new look. My eyes were darker, almost black instead of blue, and the intensity of them was increased in some beautiful way.

"When Gage sees me like this..." I started...

"He's going to think you're the hottest mother freaking thing on the planet" Sophie finished. I rolled my eyes.

"Not what I was going to say." I said, and she smirked at me.

"I know, but I'm not in the mood for your negativity, come on."

We started down stairs just as the doorbell rang. My heart stopped for a moment and the nerves I'd been feeling all afternoon worsened. Sophie went to open the door, and both the boys walked in.

Spencer's face when he saw Sophie was priceless. His eyes widened and his jaw went slightly slack. Sophie had ended up going with a sweet royal blue party dress, and a white fur vest. She looked amazing, with her hair piled on top of her head in wild curls and her makeup done to perfection.

"You look amazing." Spencer breathed as he took her into his arms and pressed a sweet kiss to her lips.

I turned away from them then, thoroughly nauseous and faced my date. Gage stood next to Spencer dressed in another pair of designer jeans and a very attractive button up shirt. He smiled when he saw me, then took my hand and kissed it delicately.

"You look beautiful." He said softly, and I felt my knees almost give out.

"You don't look too bad yourself." I said breathlessly...

"Ready to go guys?" Spencer asked, opening the door all the while letting a cold gust of wind inside the apartment. We all huddled into our coats and nodded heading out the door into the cold bitter air.

Instant memories of Gage holding my hand filled my memory, and I was about to be disappointed that we weren't holding hands again, until I felt it, his fingers suddenly entwining with mine. Almost like that's what I'd been waiting for I relaxed and fell into the rhythm of our synchronized strides and swinging hands.

"You really do look beautiful Anabelle , I hope you know I'm having a very hard time not staring at you right now." I blushed at his words and was glad for the darkness.

"I hope its not too much." I said quietly, and Gage gave a quiet scoff.

"Trust me, Its not."

We arrived at Gabriel's several minutes later, Spencer knocked on the door and it was opened almost immediately.
