I gave them some water, I was wrecked too, but when I looked at their sad little faces I realized that they needed me more now than ever and I will try my best to help and take care of them all, I I don't know what to think straight because now it's just the three of us and I want to help Eve anyway.  I snapped out of my thoughts when Eve called out to me and whispered softly.

Evelyn - Y/n put the babies somewhere for them, I don't know, I need to get some air.

I saw that she was shaking and her eyes were full of tears so I hugged her tight.

Y/n - Don't be so nervous, it's going to be okay, you have me whenever you need it, go lie down for a while I know the bomb went off now, but try to rest I'll take care of them, ok?!

She nodded and I went to a junk room that had a relaxing sofa and a nice view. I gave the babies some of the vegetable mix that we had picked yesterday and cooked together this morning, stayed with them for a while until they fell asleep. I put them together in the wooden box Lee had made for them.  I looked towards Regan and Marcus and they were looking at a wall that had a picture of them all together smiling, tears were aggressively falling from their eyes, I went towards them and hugged them, I tried to keep calm so as not to create a uproar, but I was destroyed too, but they needed me, I gently held their faces.

Y/n - Hey look at me, it's going to be okay, but now you need to calm down, I know you're in denial, but I'm here with you, you need to rest, lie down for a while.
They nodded and went upstairs, I went to them and looked at them sleeping, tears fell in my eyes, but then I wiped them away, I spent some time looking at them sleeping and I thought to myself 'wow when did I start to have this maternal side ?!'  I laughed to myself, I built up strength and carried them upstairs, I went down and picked up some fruits that were lying in the kitchen and went to the living room where Eve was, I saw that she was sleeping, I put a sheet on top of her and left the room, I went to Regan and Marcus and saw that they slept fast because they were tired.

Pov Marcus

I'm completely devastated by what happened to losing my dad right in front of me, I looked at Regan and saw her face wet and for one thing I know she was glad Dad told her he loved her, she's feeling guilty this whole time for Johnny's death, but I was also guilty that day, I didn't do anything to save him, I looked at the door again and saw Y/n at the door looking at us, I decided to get up and told her to We went downstairs, because I couldn't sleep.  We went down and talked in the laundry room, because it's a place that doesn't make so much noise, we talked for a long time to distract me, I realized that she was trying so hard to help us, she's been through so much alone.

pov y/n

I didn't even realize it was dawn, I really didn't, I was doing my best to distract him.
I was going to say how beautiful the sky was, but soon I feel my lips pressed together, I pulled away, because that wasn't right at the time.

Y/n - Look, I don't think it's the best time to do this.

Marcus - No. Okay, it's the messed up emotions.

Y/n - Alright...-We were silent for a few minutes.

Marcus-Hm, can I ask you a question?- She said without looking into my eyes.

Y/n - Yes you can, what happened?

Marcus- It's not a big deal, it's just that- he scratches the back of his head- when we were in 3rd grade, did you happen to send a letter full of poems and hearts on Valentine's Day?

Y/n puts her hands over her face.

Y/n - Yes, but don't you dare tell anyone, come to think of it you're not people to tell.  - he says and laughs.

Marcus - I promise my dear Y/n

Says and takes my hand, at that time my heart raced, but I think I still know how to hide.

Y/n-Er, this idea was totally her sister's, she's already dated Sam so she has a lot more experience than I do, she had some insight into how to get guys' attention.

Marcus - What did my smart sister say?

Y/n - That to conquer a boy needed to get attention.

Marcus - Did she know you liked me?

Y/n - Yes and no, but it doesn't matter, I mean I was ashamed to talk about it at first....
