When your boyfriend; who was always a little bit different in every way possible, proposed a somewhat extraordinary idea for tonight's date night, (Y/N) had to boldly remind him about his restricted limitations.
Who knew out if all people...The doctor, would be the most stubborn when it came to trying to get him to rest.
Still though, being the loving partner to your hopeless romantic, (Y/N) wanted to at least try to do something that would cheer him up. Not just him, but both you two. As today has been one of Harvey's worse sick-days.
You both needed a refreshing break. While Harvey was left without any good ideas remaining in reason, he left all of the planning to (Y/N); who would handle everything by themself tonight. Harvey, still overcoming the flu after being diagnosed prior to last season's winter; couldn't do much but lay in bed and reread his health magazines to you over and over again.
So you needed to think outside of the box.
(Y/N), still thinking of something they both would want to do safely yet still enjoyable; You sat up straight upon the bed you shared with Harvey and begun scanning around your room, taking in every detail that could give you a thought on what to do. Harvey noticed your strange behavior as he managed to question you.
"Darling...What are you doing?" Harvey stifled, rubbing his nose. You could hear the congestion in his voice.
"Just thinking..." You gently responded.
Hearing him breathe out slowly in reassurance, you heard him roll over. "Well, don't think 'too' hard...It's bad for the mental portion of your health." He reminded you.
He's right, (Y/N) thought. Harvey would be completely fine with anything no matter how little it was; or even, if we didn't do anything at all. But still, you had to let him know how much he meant to you; that you loved him.
"Ugh...If it wasn't because of this illness, I would've finished my modeled plane as of right now." You barley heard him grumble as Harvey was faced away from you.
Something in what he had said stuck out to you.
"Modeled plane?" (Y/N) recalled to themself.
Your eyes then wandered towards your boyfriend's desk, which was used to house his most prized possessions; Harvey's planes. He had almost everything a pilot would dream to have in their life. His own handheld radio, blueprints of the construction part on different kinds of modeled aircrafts, and most important of all...The "TR-Starbird Deluxe Set" (Y/N) had gifted him one year during Christmas.
(Y/N) smiled to themself. You remember his exact reaction; when you had watched him eagerly rip apart the present, in which it was contained in.
For the once in a lifetime, Harvey was speechless. Pulling out the set, all he could do was stare at it in awe as he then thanked you over and over again. So much so, Harvey had almost forgotten to breathe. Though that was the beginning of an endless cycle of plane facts, You had never regretted it. Watching him be happy made it worth your while.
He told you the same story, about his unfinished symphony; becoming a pilot. Thinking far back, you practically heard in talk about it for what.. A million times? Yet, you would be lying if It hadn't made your heart break each time though. You would give anything to make your boyfriend's dream into a reality. You didn't get the hype, but watching Harvey become passionate and indulging himself into his hobbies, makes your heart flutter like no ever before. It was like his inner child was trying to come out, perhaps to reconnect with the past. That made (Y/N) think about it even more.
Maybe that was the thing he needed.
It took (Y/N) some time, but they had came up with some pretty good ideas that would both encourage their boyfriend to participate and have fun. Feeling satisfied with your plans, you turned back to face Harvey, who is currently, still...rambling about common cold facts.
