The countryside just seems to keep on rolling on and on forever. A never ending canvas of green and blue flashing past the window as I arrive closer to my destination. It's been twenty years since I last came to Wayne's vile, so much could have changed but so little could have actually happened. It's not usual for visitors to come to this town, most people don't even know that it exists but yet here it is. Surprisingly no one seems surprised that im here, I guess that they can just tell that I used to live in this town.
Finally, a break from the light. This wide stretch of track that connects the town to the big city is long and tired, with the open air of the track taking an estimated hour. But what seems to take a life time, the tunnel takes half of that stretch of journey. With this singular line carrying only an old steam tram engine, with a singular carriage to join its sorrows. As it rattles and clacks down the line, the lights flicker on, to guide its way through the dark and into the light.
My name is Becky and after fifteen years I have returned to Wayne's Ville, in an attempt to solve the recent disappearances of people from this town. Having been through my own loss I know just how important it is to find these people and it begins now... as soon as I get out of this tun... suddenly a load thump smacked against the roof of the on going train with everyone looking quite frightened the train screeched to a holt.
With everyone clambering out to see what happened, thoughts began to rush through your head lose rocks, a fallen branch... a body? Sitting on the ground was a blood bath written scene, the body had smashed against the roof of the carriage, instantly killing the sickened soul. But leaving a trail of blood down the side and guts spewed out across the gravel, who was this and why did they jump from such a large height. I wish I would never have to say these words at a crime scene, but what remained of the body was flipped over in an attempt to look for life I saw it. I knew this person and they were gone...
How could this be? Why would they jump? When you last saw them they were fine at least I think they were... Alex, why? What to do what to do, a block off. You stand up with all the energy that you have left, your face still pale. "Remain calm everyone, please just step aside whilst we get this... Scene contained." They look at you with a blank facial expression, like cows in a meadow chewing on grass. With the kids from the village near by prodding and poking them to give them a lively movement, nothing. You begin to hear them mumble to one another "that's the book shop owner isn't it, why'd he jump for, I bet it was financial difficulty, I bet it was depression. Does this mean we have to walk the rest of the way?" You heard it all, in an attempt to get their attention back you stand up on the stairwell of the carriage.
"Ladies and gentlemen, will you please crab all your possessions from the carriage and carry the rest of your journey on foot." A wave a groans sparked one another. "This is a crime scene and should not be tampered with nor looked at by members of the public, a statement will be made as soon as possible." You see that you have finally gotten through to them, even if they resent it. What do next? The driver he should be of some use, to help control what's going on . Come to think of it where are they?" Scouring the place for them high and low you find them, lost in the crowd dazed by the experience you approach.
