"Heh, they're all so weak." Frisk laughed. "If only your plan to cross the barrier had worked back then". "Yeah yeah i get it you maniac." Chara shot back. It had been 1046 genocide runs without change and without using MERCY, it had gotten to the point where the MERCY button had started to break down. It was now unusable, but Frisk didn't care since they didn't use it anyway. To them, FIGHT and ITEM were the only ones worth using. Occasionally ACT if they wanted to taunt someone, or just felt especially cruel. Which was all the time. Chara however, was beginning to grow sick of the loop- Actually, strike that- she already HAD gotten sick of all this, since the very first run. She was sick of watching all the innocent monsters suffer just for the enjoyment of the human.

She couldn't stand this any longer. The sound of her parents being killed at Frisks hand was tiring. It hurt to hear. She was done. She floated up to Frisk's ear and, "I'm done with this!" She yelled into Frisk's ear, making him grab it in pain as he cursed angrily. He tried to swat her away like a fly, which didn't work due to her incorporeal state, making him even more furious. "Have fun killing everyone in sight!" Chara exclaimed. And with that, she walked into Snowdin.

Walking through the empty town with the wind blowing harder than usual, the snow going right through her incorporeal body, made her feel incredibly guilty. Guilty for something she hadn't directly done of her own free will. Up until this point, her hate had taken control of her, and forced the human into this endless loop, infecting Him, but her hate had been forced upon her by Frisk during the first Genocide run. His hate had been transferred onto Chara, making her lose control of her body. It was quite the confusing butterfly effect once she thought about it too much, it gave her headaches if she thought about it for too long.

Half an hour later, she reached the place that both her and Frisk would always start out their journey at, or rather the place Frisks journey would always start at, since Chara wasn't really alive, nor dead. She sat down on the flowerbed and she started to tear up.

I cant take this any longer, She thought while trying to hold back her tears.

I have to find a way to stop him - to get rid of that damned RESET button!

But how? Sans had his own idea of how to get rid of Frisk. To Kill him or to break his Determination, but neither had worked. In the end, it might not be possible to stop Frisk's rampage. What could a mere ghost do, to stop a person that could return after death? While Chara was lost in thought, someone else... was falling, and fast. They went right through Chara's body and hit the ground with a THUD.

Huh, this is... odd, Chara thought to herself.

"U-ugh, I think I broke something...shit." They groaned to themselves. Chara floated next to them, observing if they had any major injuries she should worry about. The new human, who appeared to be a girl, slowly got to her feet, groaning and holding her head in her hand. She had black hair, her eyes were both purple, emitting a faint glow. She wore Black tights with a matching black long sleeve shirt. She also had a Black ribbed turtleneck sweater, and overtop it she had a red scarf. Chara blushed slightly at her appearance but kept herself from blushing anymore.

"Yup, something is definitely broken... Fucking hell..." The girl looked to her left, where Chara was inspecting the girls' left arm, thinking she couldn't be seen.

"Who are you?" The girl asked, taking Chara aback for a brief moment.

Oh crap, they can see me!?!? She thought to herself. This shouldn't be possible!

"Um, you can see me?"

"Yeah? Why wouldn't I be able to see you? I have eyes for a reason, y'know." The girl said, making Chara flush red out of embarrassment of her own question. She tried to laugh but it sounded sad. She felt stupid as she finally replied. "Haha... true. Uh, my name is Chara. W-what's yours?" She stammered, trying to control the blush on her face.

The girl shrugged. "Cool name, I guess. My name is Samantha, but you can call me Sam, that's what everyone else I knew called me." She smiled softly. "So Chara, what is this place?" Sam asked. "Erm, we're in the underground, and I presume you know the stories of this place?"

"I know them all." Sam replied. "The humans and monster fought against each other in the war, and the humans won. They sealed away the monsters underground and created the barrier, which would prevent them from escaping. I thought it was a myth up until now."

Sam glanced to her right and saw the hallway leading towards the ruins and started to walk towards it, but immediately grabbed her head as it throbbed in pain, as she knelt down on one knee. "Fuck... I think i mighta... cracked my skull just a little...?" Samantha exclaimed. "Oh shit, uhhh... ummm... stay here! I'll go get someone-" Chara started, but Sam brought her other hand up to her head. It suddenly started to glow green, and a loud crack filled the silence as her skull healed. "Don't worry, I know a thing or two..." Sam grumbled. "This should only take a minute or so." The sound of the skull healing itself made Chara realize something.

She knows green magic?!?! I thought humans lost their magic back in the war?!?!

Sam pulled her hand away from her head after another moment or so, and got up, as she started to walk through the tunnel. "Hey! wait up Sam!" Chara yelled as she ran after Her. "How do you know magic?" Chara asked after she caught up with Sam. "Not now, i'll tell you later once we find somewhere to stay." She glanced around at the surrounding ruins. "Know anyone?" She asked.

"I know a place! my adopted mum's house." Chara replied. "Where is it?" Sam asked. "Its just through the ruins, but I don't think we can stay there right now."

"Why not? is it because you're a ghost?" The question sent chills down Chara's spine. "How did you know?" Chara asked. "Well, the fact that I can see through your body kinda told me that information." Sam replied calmly. Chara cursed herself. Of course that's how she knew that she was a ghost, what a stupid question. But that doesn't answer how she can see me in the first place, Chara thought.

"I don't see why we can't go to her. After all, I don't think she can see you. I'm pretty sure only I can." Sam told Chara confidently.

Well, you and one other person, so far anyway... Chara thought. It shouldn't even be possible for Sam to see Chara in the first place. Only people with determination can see Chara, and since no monster can reliably handle DT for an extended period of time without melting eventually, only Frisk could see her. Up until then anyway...

But Chara could feel that something was different about Sam's soul, something extremely powerful and volatile. Something that could not be tamed. A soul trait, that was thought to have gone extinct due to the war wiping out so many people and monsters. It was so old that even its name had been lost to time.

"I think your right Sam." Chara said after a few moments of thinking. "Well then, what are we waiting for? Lead the way!" Sam told Chara. Chara stopped dead in her tracks. A pile of dust laid on the ground beneath her.

I did this... Chara thought. I'm the reason they're all dead... If I hadn't suggested killing, none of this would've ever happened... She was trying to conceal her tears yet again.

Sam gave gave Chara a glare. "Come on, we don't have all day." She said, before noticing Chara's tears. "Ummm, are you okay...?" Sam asked Chara.

"O-oh, yeah i-its nothing. Sorry." "It didn't look like nothing." Sam replied. "It's just, whenever a monster dies, they turn to dust. A-and I might have been the cause for its death."

And all the others after it, Chara thought to herself.

"Oh, I'm-... sorry for asking." Sam apologized. Chara stifled her sobs. "No it's... it's fine. I don't mind, really."

"I've only known you for a few minutes and I can tell you're a really nice person." Sam told Chara as they walked into the ruins. Chara blushed slightly at this. "T-thanks, I guess. And same for you, too."

"Heh, thanks Chara."

EDIT: I'M REDOING THIS BOOK! Going through and editing everything just so it's more bearable to read through. It'll still be cringe AF, but at least it wont suck as much to read. Disclaimer: Go read Consequences of your actions, it's a much better version of this dumpster fire, that doesn't actually hurt to read.
