(A/N I actually use Google Translate to convert single or multiple words from English to Esperanto to create the Arcanic Tongue language, just in case any of you were wondering and/or looking to translate the spells. I don't just put words together willy nilly or use words that look good)

Arcanic Tongue is the language of the Guardians. While the Guardians mostly communicate with each other using the common speech, when things need to be kept secret, you will find that Guardian tends to speak in tongues.

For world security purposes, to be able to learn Arcanic Tongue, you must consult a Master Guardian or Lord Notch for the direct teachings (Meaning to obtain its alphabet you must learn from someone who already knows it). The direct uses and translations of the language cannot and will not be put into a record. The language can only be learned through word-of-mouth and verbal study.

But while we cannot explicitly recite the Arcanic Alphabet, we can teach its rules and history:

The language in question was developed by First Generation Guardians Clarissa Rawlyn, Adeline White, Brian Jackson, and Martin Noke. Arcane spells were at first written in the common language before the four decided to change the language to ensure that learning Arcane Magic could only be obtainable by Guardians.

Stressed Letters (ex. words with letters like ò and ś) are prominently used throughout the language. Often, a singular letter is accompanied by an accent mark and is generally only used if the word in question ends in the letters: n, s, or a vowel. For example, Arkana ŝildo, sildo ends with -o making the first letter 's' be stressed. Not all words that end with n, s, or a vowel contain stressed letters, to be able to identify whether or not a word should contain a stressed letter, pay attention to how you pronounce it. Stressed letters (especially vowels) are stronger sounding meaning they are longer, louder, and sometimes higher in pitch. Does a word you are saying sound odd? Try putting a stressed letter in it to try to make it sound more natural.

The Arcanic Tongue uses three prefixes to be able to discern what type of spell you are using. The prefixes Ark- and Arc- are interchangeable, meaning that you make use of the prefix Arc- instead of Ark- for Arkana ŝildo, but use caution since while you can change them, their uses are marked as they are for a reason.

Spells with the prefix Ark- or precedes with Arkana are commonly the basic type of magic spells and/or spells that require a minimal magical load. They are not high-level spells and nor are they complicated spells. Often they are the spells that are required to be known by all the Guardians, they are the basic spells. For example, Arkana ŝildo, is the most basic shield spell that a Guardian can use. Compared to Arcana, Arkana is weaker and consumes less magical energy of the caster.

Arkana spells use arcane magic and a type of elemental magic that is dependent on what spell is cast. They are usually casted with quick movements and a mage circle appears when casting it.

Spells that precede with Arca are spells are mid-level spells that depend entirely on how one of your hands is gestured. Meaning, that these are the type of spells that depend on how long you can hold a hand gesture. While Notch has placed restrictions on how Guardians interact with living beings, there are some spells that the Creation God has allowed. Arca is a spell base that is only used when the spell interacts with living beings, like animals or humans. To use most animal Arca spells, you must maintain a single hand gesture with your little and ring fingers down with minimum concentration on them. (See "Arca Spells: Animals" and/or "Arca Spells: Humans & More" for more information).

Unlike Ark- and Arc-, Arca is not interchangeable. No mage circle is produced and these spells can be stacked. Meaning you can cast multiple of these spells at once with one hand gesture binding them all. But be warned, the more living being that you manipulate, the more concentration and magic that will be demanded of you.

Spells with the prefix Arc- or precedes with Arcana are high-level spells that required a significant mana load. These spells take years to master and must only be used in confidence due to their destructive nature. They take great concentration given how destructive they can be, but they are not the most difficult things to master.

Arc- is a high-level spell, so naturally, it will consume a large amount of energy from the caster. A magic circle is typically produced as well.  Due to how sensitive information is about a Guardian's most powerful spells, nothing more can be said.

While you have spells that have the three prefixes above, some spells are just one word. The Command Spells. The Command Spells are often one or two words depending on what you want to be done. They are simple spells that just fit the need of a spell to the situation that a Guardian finds themselves in. (See "The Command Spells" for more information).

Then you have the Extreme Magic Spells, the spells that require the use of Magus Strands and have a very taxing effect on the body of the caster. These spells should only be used as a last resort and by those who have mastered the control over the strands. (See "Extreme Magic: The Magus Strand Spells" and/or "The Magus Strands: The Care and Mastery Guide" for more information).

For more information about the Arcanic Tongue language, be refer to your mentor as keeping such information written in the common language as opposed to Arcanic Tongue is too dangerous.
