Lucinda's P.O.V.
I sat on the grounds near the rose garden as I always did in the early morning. The maids had packed tea, sandwiches, and biscuits. Sitting next to me was my dearest knight whom I loved as long as I could remember though I couldn't have his heart I did have his companionship. The out of the blue Amis stood up abruptly.
"Amis, what's wrong?" I questioned. As he slowly turned to walk away. "Amis, where are you going?" I called him but he didn't react. I tried to stand but it was as if I was tied down. "Amis, my knight don't leave me please." I shouted. Reaching out to him yet he continued walking away. Tears began to blur my vision. "No, don't go. Please stay. He stopped at this yet he did not turn to face me. "My beloved Queen, I can no longer be your knight for I am not tethered to this world. But I will always be with you in spirit. There is a new knight for you he is waiting. I must go now goodbye." With that he faded into the distances. As my heart cried for him. Why must all that I hold dear fall to the hands of death.Subaru's P.O.V.
Cradling the girl in my arms I made my way back to the mansion. Not sure what to do with her I made my way back to one of the many spare guest rooms. The room happens to not be far from mine. She was still wearing a white and gold dress that had a fabric white rose against her chest. Her face was flush and her body seemed cold as she unconsciously clung to me. I really don't understand why this is happening, or the fact that I have this urge to protect this woman I don't even know. There is just too much going on. Upon entering the room I made my way toward the bed. Placing her on the firm mattress, I noticed tears rolling down her face and a sad expression.
"Amis don't leave me." I heard her mumbling. She really misses him doesn't she. I thought as I moved to the ouch in the room to lay down on. This is just too much for me to deal with. Closing my eyes I drifted off to sleep.

I felt my eyes open slowly to see that I was in a strange looking room. The window had glass panels and there were no candles in the room. Where am I? I slowly moved my legs to the side of the bed before attempting to stand. Using the bed as support I managed to stand. The room was lavish with a small area to greet guests. Walking toward the cawl foot chair I used the back of the loveseat couches as a support.
"Hey, why are you up?" A voice echoed.
