"Mm. . . Morning Ningguang . ."
"Good morning Y/N. ."
"Wait - NINGGUANG ?!- what are you doing in my house !- more importantly . . What are you doing in my bed ?!"
"I found the keys to your house . I didn't want you to sleep on the cold floor of the Chamber , so I decided to bring you home . You're welcome by the way ."
"But. . .-"
"Why am I sleeping with you ? Because I had accidentally fallen asleep while trying to make you let go of my waist. . ."
"Oh. . I guess I accidentally clung onto you. . . Heh. . Sorry !"
"I actually do not mind for once . . It's you , so. ." Ningguang had stopped at 'It's you , so. .' Y/N was quite confused and wanted to know the end of the sentence . . But when Ningguang goes silent , she won't repeat or bring it up ever again
"So. . Do you have business to attend to today ?"
"No actually , I decided to take off so we could be together for a day ."
"Really ?! That's a big deal. . You just don't normally do that and- for someone like me ?"
"Indeed , I would do anything for you . ."
". . ." The two stayed quiet for an hour staring into each other's eyes close together . Though they weren't holding each other , they could feel their hearts beating . Ningguang's was slow and relaxed but Y/N's was fast paced and obviously-
"Ningguang. ."
"Hm?"
"May I tell you something ?"
"Yes you may ."
"I came to Liyue because. . I wanted to start a new life . Thanks to your humbleness and kindness . . I actually feel welcomed here with you ."
"I'm glad to hear that . It's not everyday someone comes into Liyue from Mondstadt wanting to meet me ."
"Actually - I thought you told me that happens often -"
"Not with someone I actually care for seeing . I normally don't accept requests up to the Jade Chamber . . You were somehow different feeling ."
"I was? . ."
"Yes , you were . . I still feel like you are different , I have so much to learn about you it makes me so . . Captivated by you ."
"I s - see . . We should probably get up and ready . I don't want you to be hungry . ."
"Mhm. . I'll get ready ." Ningguang had stood up walking out of the room to get ready for the day . Y/N had changed into something nice , not wanting to look terrible for someone they had admired .
Ningguang in the other room had gotten herself ready , she looked like normal but still as captivating and elegant as always . Ningguang had exited the room slowly walking into the kitchen area . She sat down waiting for Y/N
"Ready Ningguang ! Let's go get something to eat ."
The two had walked out of the small house fingers intertwined together . It felt right , this is what friends did right ? I mean they both didn't feel anything for each other . . So why did it feel so - . . Strange ??
They had stopped at Third-Round Knockout just to get some food . Apparently Zhongli had told Y/N about it and they were curious but never went to it because they liked more home cooked food . Ningguang of course ate gracefully , with each coming course Y/N began to wonder how much Ningguang could eat . Cause on the fifteenth course , Ningguang was still hungry .
Y/N just stared in wonder on how the fuck Ningguang could eat that much . And on the last and final course , Ningguang was full and satisfied . Y/N and Ningguang had went to different shops , Ningguang occasionally treating Y/N to some expensive jewelry that of course Y/N tried to get but was too broke to afford . Y/N usually took Ningguang around to the nicest parts of Mondstadt and Liyue that day . At one point , Ningguang had teased Y/N on getting a small fish . Subtle , but still there -
They had ran into Keqing and Ganyu who had explained to the two that they were officially a couple . Ningguang of course had called it while Y/N was just fawning over the two lesbians . Ningguang and Y/N had after that turned back to Y/N's house to watch the setting Sun on top of Y/N's roof . Y/N had made hot chocolate which Ningguang wasn't familiar with but fell in love with it after tasting it .
They were happy , happy together in that moment . Y/N felt something with Ningguang that they hadn't felt before . . Acceptance , Understanding , and Love . Ningguang had found someone other than a colleague that wasn't scared of her , that was actually interesting , that actually had some personality and knew who they were . Ningguang had found Y/N's warm personality lovely . . And Y/N found Ningguang's enigmatic nature captivating . Y/N laid their cranium on Ningguang's shoulder watching the sky slowly change to night .
——— Next Morning ———
"I don't know what I was expecting. . ." Ningguang had left Y/N alone in bed .
"I'll see her later today ! I think she would be more than happy to see me !"
Y/N rushed to get ready instantly dashing out the door to the Jade Chamber
"My love for you is eternal , just like the sky!"
"You're Y/N right ? Ningguang doesn't want to see you . She says you and her should just be business partners and to not see each other any longer ."
"Excuse me. . . WHAT?!"
