Doramitsu has always been one of my top tier and favorite ships in the fandom, so I've dedicated this one-shot fic to them this Valentine's Day. Additionally, this was inspired by the vault track, 'That's When' by Taylor Swift feat. Keith Urban in her own version of Fearless album. I also wanted to join and include this last chapter as a prompt to @belindarimbi13's February Flash Writing Challenge 2022 (FFWC2022) seeing that this event is also a special Doramitsu prompt challenge every day and I don't want to pass up the opportunity to contribute my fic to this beautiful ship. Lastly, I don't own anything except this fic. Respective ownership belongs to Ken Wakui for this wonderful manga and Taylor Swift for this wonderful song.

#FFWC2022 Day 14 – College AU).

You said, "I know"

When I said, "I need some time, need some space

To think about all of this"

You watched me go

And I knew my words were hard to hear

And harder to ever take back

And I said, "When can I come back?"

A sigh slipped from Mitsuya's lips as he stared outside the window and watched the sickening sight of lovers being sweet and all over each other. The women gushing over the bouquet of flowers and box of chocolates being handed to them while the men were sporting a wide smile or bashful grin on their faces upon seeing how their girlfriends or wives being satisfied with their gifts.

He didn't know whether to curse out Valentine's Day this year or not.

For the first time in his college life, he spent it alone being crammed inside his room and studying for the upcoming midterm exams next week.

Don't get him wrong but he had been a responsible and studious student. He's a scholar university student who's currently taking up a bachelor's degree in Fashion Technology. And seeing on how lucky he was in passing the entrance exams before and being granted a full scholarship to one of the most expensive courses in this institution, he didn't let the opportunity pass and took his studies seriously. But he also knew how to relax and have fun. And that included spending Valentine's Day with your special someone.

Or so he thought.

For the first time in his three-year relationship with Draken, they had a major fight that led them to briefly taking the time to spend some time away from each other.

Or in simpler terms... a cool off.

He remembered that time when they're having an argument that escalated into something else entirely. And Draken being the more controlled he was despite the chaos that's been happening with him lately, wanted to diffuse things without making it worse hence he requested for a cool off for a period of 2-3 days that went on for at least week without hearing anything from him. At all.

At first Mitsuya was worried. It was uncharacteristic of Draken to pull away like this for a longer period without saying anything to him. He resisted the urge to message or call him since he didn't want to become a nuisance but, in the end, he couldn't stop himself from trying to reach out to him a few times. His heart was weak for him like that. But his messages went unanswered. His calls were going through his voice mailbox.
